I personally loved this dress and felt like it was flattering even without shape-wear. I wound up sizing down to size 10, so the curves hugged. I liked that I felt covered yet sophisticated and not matronly. It gave classic and sleek. Highly recommend! I would buy it if possible.

Functional, party-ready, Little Black Dress!

Wore this for my bachelorette part. I have to say, it was a lot of fun to dance and play around in (we did karaoke & dancing). It was short, but not too short and I felt like it didn't ride at all. It was almost perfectly molded to my bum. It never gave me problems. I will say, I didn't wear heels because I wanted to be comfortable throughout the night, and it still wound up looking really cute. My only con is the zipper. People are so right in their reviews! I tried this on the day before my bachelorette and wasn't sure if I would make it out the dress without cutting or ripping it. I literally had to fight with the zipper, contorting various ways before it went down. The next day it went down a little smoother for the party, but that first time had me scared I would be trapped. Beyond that, I really liked the dress and would rent again. Just make sure to get the zipper going up and down smoothly before you put it on.

Loved everything about this!

This dress is really everything everyone said it would be. I was a little nervous because my backup size was out of stock but I went for the 8R (which is my normal size) and it was perfect! Not only that but it hugged my slight curves nicely. The lace wasn't see through and I felt modest in it. I would definitely rent this again for a formal event! I also wore it with about 3.5 inch heels and had no issues with the length. I'm a little over 5'7.

Legs!

Wore this for my bridal shower and I can say, this one I do not want to send back. It was a backup since my original order couldn't be shipped. I was a little leery but thought this was the cuter of the two options they sent. I couldn't have been happier in the end! I love retro looks and this was that. It also wasn't form-fitting and showed a lot of leg. I wore some daring stilettos and the look came out great. I got a lot of compliments. The only small complaint I have is the lining was acting weird and hanging out of the dress when I first put it on, but that somehow seemed to work itself out during the day, and it fell evenly later on. That lining also made the dress very hot, as I wasn't in a bit of hot environment. Other than that though, I loved it! If I were into white dresses for everyday wear I would probably buy it.

A fun dress, but small!

I would definitely give this dress a solid B, if I were to give a grade. Upon first trying it on, I right away noticed 1) the tightness and 2) the length. I normally wear a Medium and sometimes even a Small, and I am so glad I read reviews beforehand about sizing up. I am both hip-y and leggy and that meant the dress was tight around the hips as well as a borderline minidress. I had to go with the Large to even be able to pull the dress up over my hips and my chest (which is a 36C). The fabric has almost no give, so sitting down caused the dress to ride up. In those moments, I laid my huge clutch purse over my lap. So, in summation: PROS: The sleeves are super cute. The pattern is fun and different. If you have curves and a flat tummy, you really get to flaunt both. It's a nice, youthful length for a party-style event. CONS: Tight, tight, tight! Sitting down is going to cause the dress to ride up. It's also pretty short. It looked more conservative when I paired it with shorter heels (wedges), but when I first tried it on with pumps I felt it looked really dramatic and short. It worked for a wedding, but it probably would not work for a more conservative event. Dancing in it was very interesting. I couldn't do too many complicated moves. If you have hips, beware. It is snug wherever there are curves. I know it looks like more cons than pros, but I really overall liked the dress. I would not buy it, but it did the trick for the particular event I was at. If you're not shy about the length or unforgiving fabric, I'd recommend.
