Perfect fit except for length!
Was looking for a dress my daughter could wear to a 6 hour wedding where the bride planned to hand out flip flops to the ladies at hour 4 to keep the dancing going and everyone comfortable. The size 14R fit my daughter like a glove (12R was too tight) except for length, which was a fatal flaw for an evening where she was going to end up in flats. She is 5’1/2” tall, 160 and a 38D. It was probably 4 inches too long. Did not wear.

Works for short girls!
I occasionally rent formal dresses for my daughter who is 5’ ½” tall and 160 lbs and it is hard to find floor length dresses that aren’t too long. She prefers shoes with a low heel so making it work with 4” heels is not an option. This size 14R high/low dress turned out to be the perfect answer. The high part in the front just showed the front of her shoes while the low back formed a slight train. She got lots of complements!

Unexpectedly great!
Based on my usual standards, this dress was too tight, too long, too bare in the back and arms, too low in the front . . . but I loved it! The 18 was not available so I struggled into the 16 but was so glad I did. The style of the dress had a slimming effect on me and the fact that it was a traditional ball gown shape on the bottom meant that it was comfortable to wear throughout the 6-hour wedding and reception. The fabric is light so was perfect for a May wedding in Georgia.

Runs large-size down!
I rented this for my adult daughter who is 5'1" and usually wears petites. Short dresses are usually a perfect just above the knee length on her but this one wasn't short enough and it hung below her knees - not flattering, especially as the dress was also too roomy. She and I both loved the print but the dress was not for her.

Comfortable but frumpy
I thought I would try a more daring modern look than my usual classic conservative style but instead I felt like I was wearing the kitchen curtains! I wore it out to dinner anyway and got some definite sideways looks from friends and strangers. I thought about sizing down to see if the problem was just too much fabric but ultimately decided to try a different dress.

Perfect for hot weather
Light fabric, just the right amount of room in the hips and flattering on top without being too tight. I tried sizing down from the 2XL and found it a little too narrow in the shoulders. I had to pin my bra straps so they wouldn't show.

Proportions didn't fit.
I have a pear shape and after sizing down at the recommendation of other reviewers, this dress was too tight in the on the top and too large on the bottom. Loved the fabric and the style but this cut was not for me.

Sized up to a 12 from usual 10 and it fit like a glove!
A very unique dress in a beautiful shade of blue. My daughter wore it to be the ring bearer in her brother's wedding. The whole bridal party bridal party (except the bride) wore various shades of blue and this dress blended perfectly. It fit the specialness and importance of the occasion. One drawback - it wasn't the easiest to dance in as the skirt is narrow and short, but she made it work!

Felt special and confident
My daughter, who hates shopping, loved this dress, which she wore to the Family Dinner the night before her brother's wedding. It helped make her stand out in a good way and loved the compliments she received. Fit was true to size without the waist being too tight. Straight figures may find the slip, which is a separate piece, to be too long.

Perfect if I didn't need to sit!
Stunning well made dress but not for my pear shape. The dress went on and zipped up easily with no bulges, but as soon as I tried to sit, I thought I might burst a seam! I stopped well before that but had to return the dress as the wedding I needed it for included a sit-down dinner!

I like to wear 1 inch heels with floor length dresses and my limited experience with RTR is that they recommend R and L lengths based on the assumption the wearer is wearing 3+ inch heels. I tried a petite size this time (in a different style as my first choice wasn't available) and the length was fine but the other dimensions were too small. After 3 weeks as a subscriber, I'm still struggling to find my size as it seems to vary quite a bit by designer. The clothes are lovely and well made.
