Great basic

Gorgeous
Loved this dress. Very elegant and unique dress for a black tie. The fabric is very luxurious in person. The fit is super tight, runs small but very flattering. There is no give, no stretch. Many people pulled me aside to compliment me on the dress.

I ordered the wrong length. I'm 5'6 and wanted to wear 4 inch heels. Some of the reviews were misleading. For a dress like this, it really needs to skim the floor and not show your feet at all. I really wish I had a 2L. I ended up wearing the 4R (even though the 2R fit) purely for the slightly longer hem. Also, it was really low in front and on the sides. One side was stitched but the other side had come undone. I pinned the front and sides. I also felt like the dress made me look bigger than I am. I ended up getting a ribbon belt from Club Monaco and I think cinching the waist helped make it more flattering. Overall, it's a gorgeous dress in a beautiful color but not sure if it was the most flattering.

I got a 2 and a 4. I usually wear a 0-2. I could get the 2 on and zipped but because there's no stretch in the fabric whatsoever so it was skin tight, uncomfortable and too short. I went with the 4, which fit more comfortably. I thought the 2 actually looked better on it's own because it was very fitted at the waist. But the 4 looked great once I cinched it with my metal belt. Great dress!
It's a beautiful dress and even prettier in person! The soft, paper thin layers are so romantic. The corset boning really accentuates your waist. I just had a baby 3 months prior and I still have 10 lbs to lose but this dress made me feel pretty for a night! :)
