Rent the dress size you normally wear. No need to order one size up or down as a back-up. It runs true to size. I'm busty and curvy with a smaller waist and it covered my chest. I know women with smaller busts can't appreciate this, but those of us with larger, natural breasts don't want them hanging out all over the place. It kept me tucked in with just the appropriate amount of cleavage. Pockets are always a plus in any outfit. The length hit right at the knees. The dress does have ample room in the bottom half, so it does give you that bell shape. It worked perfectly with my strapless bra. It's a great dress for a daytime date, strolling around the city on vacation - anything really. I'd easily rent again. Would love to own it.

It's a jumper. It's good for a daytime date (mine then turned into an evening putt putt date and it was perfect for that). It was roomy, but I think the next size down may have been too small. It was fun and comfortable and cute. The only "down side" is the hooks in the front kept catching on my lace bra every time I had to take it off to use the bathroom. And it's an expensive bra. So don't wear a lacy bra with it. But it's fine. It's not sexy. It's cute.

I wore this for NYE. Perfect outfit for the occasion. The dress has plenty of stretch, so it fits comfortably and perfectly form fitting. I ordered the 8 and 6. I tried the 8 on first and didn't even bother to try on the 6. The 6 may have fit, but the 8 just felt comfortable and I wanted to be able to sit and move around all night. The only (minor) inconvenience were the hanger straps. The way they are sewn in the dress and the design of the dress and placement of the see-through mesh, made it difficult to tuck the straps so they wouldn't show. If I owned the dress, I would have cut them out immediately. But aside from that, the dress was great. Received plenty of compliments. The dress was very comfortable considering it's all sequence and it's just a perfect, fun party dress. Would wear it again.

I would have rather had the 6, but they were out. The 8 fit fine, but was a little lose around the middle and for me, a little long (I'm short). So I just flipped up and taped the hemline the 1 inch and it was perfect. Felt feminine and comfy. Perfect for daytime brunch, afternoon event, etc. I loved having pockets as well. Would rent again.

I rented this as a backup for Thanksgiving, but ended up wearing out for dinner with friends the next night. It is definitely not a Thanksgiving dress :) as it fits snug. I liked the thicker material for this time of year. The cut is really cute. My one "complaint" is that it fit snug around the hips ( I am curvy, but still it pulled a bit more than I would have liked). And I don't think I would have gone up a size. I'm between a 6 and 8 and wore the 8. But the 10 would have been too big I'm sure. This is probably better suited for stick/boyish figures. But if I had this hanging in my closet, I'd still wear it again.

I kept reading that the dress had no give/stretch (which is true) and that it wouldn't be good for someone with a large bust. But I'm here to tell you that of my features, I have that 'hourglass shape' with extra in the bust and rear end department and the dress couldn't have been more flattering. Even if you show a little cleavage, the black tulle that drapes over your shoulder camouflages it so you don't look too exposed, but rather sexy and elegant. And I consider myself a rather conservative dresser. It really does give you that sexy, yet classy look. The negative - while I am 5'1'', I do tend to wear higher heals, but because I did order the petite size, the length was also petite so I did end up wearing lower heals (2 1/2-3" ?). My original heels made the dress look to short. But all that meant is I was actually comfortable in my heels all night! So if you're concerned about needing extra length, be sure to go for the regular or long. The dress fits true to size. It was my first rental from RTR and like it says on the box and dress bag, this dress "is just the beginning." Will definitely be renting again soon!
