Cute dress, didn't fit right
I really wanted to love this dress, but I don't think it looked right on my hips. The skirt is already pretty poofy, and any hint of curves made it stick out even further. Would work best for someone with a straighter figure. It's also quite short!

Cute dress for work
I probably could have gone for a 0, but it was just a lovely summer work dress. I got a lot of compliments in the office, and wish I could have kept it if not for the price!

Pretty, pretty purple. I wish I could have kept it forever!
[At this point I consider myself an expert on RTR's purple gown offerings.] I rent something purple each year for the Lupus Foundation of America gala in DC/NYC. This dress was just...stunning. The ombré is lovely in person; subtle yet certainly noticeable. And it fit perfectly to my body type (tight-but-not-suffocating bodice with a flowy bottom). While it was quite long, I am not one for towering heels, which might have solved that problem. As well, something sharp from the side of the dress kept poking me under my arm. Easy fix with a small scissor so no real problem. 9.5/10!

The prettiest purple I've ever seen.
I loved this gown! Everything about it was perfect: the color, the fit, the length. I know some reviewers had different experiences regarding the dress being too long and/or too loose up top, but for me (34DD, 5'5"), it was pretty much fine! I rented for a gala, at which I spoke on stage in front of a few hundred people...so I loved that it was kept appropriate by the higher neckline (while still showing a good amount of cleavage!). I only wish I did not have to send it back.

My most favorite RTR dress to date! This dress made my 21st birthday even more special.
In the words of Buddy the Elf: I'm in love, i'm in love and I don't care who knows it! This dress is SO beyond amazing (as all Hervé dresses are). Tight like a bandage dress should be, but I was still able to eat a 6-course tasting menu at Daniel without exploding...so that's good. I also loved that it has a full skirt unlike most Hervé styles, albeit the skirt does not come out as much as pictured on the model. This is a must-rent! 6/5 stars :)

Bright and fun (and not at all what I'd usually wear). Perfect for a 21st birthday celebration.
Great color (note: not for people who don't like having all the attention on them...the color, and dress itself, is quite a showstopper)! Fit was pretty good and true to size. I was expecting the low neckline based on the other reviews, which I was fine with. And I loved the slit, very sexy, even though it was cutting it a little close while sitting down sometimes. My only negative is that I wish it had been a bit more fitted in the waist. In some pictures I noticed it looked like a shift dress.

So subtle, yet everyone noticed them
I rented these for my boyfriend's senior prom about a month ago. They were absolutely stunning! I'm not a huge fan of big earrings, and these were just the right size so that people could see them, but they weren't ripping my earlobes off.

Public speaking doesn't make me nervous, but it was nice to have an extra boost of confidence from this dress when I spoke at the Lupus Gala in front of 600+ people!

The purple was pretty, but besides that I really didn't like this dress. In both the sizes I rented, it just seemed as if there were too much material; it got all bunched up and looked nothing like it did on the model. As well, the exposed zipper was terrible. Although you can't see it in the photo, it looked very cheap and ugly in person. It looked like it belonged on a sweatshirt, not a dress! (If you're looking for a great purple dress to wear, go with the Hervé Léger Naughty But Nice Dress...that's what I ended up wearing instead)
