I rented this last Spring for my Sorority Formal. The dress looked beautiful online and I couldn't wait to wear it. Unfortunately another sister purchased a "copycat" dress at a department store and this dress lost a lot of appeal to me. While this one was surely better quality and probably a lot more flattering, I had my parents send it back before even trying it on/seeing it in person. If I'm renting a designer dress, I want it to stand out from the crowd. This one is nice, but nothing special.

I rented this LAST MINUTE for NYE and RTR got it to me even sooner than I expected! They even included cute nye party headbands and a tote bag. The dress itself is BEAUTIFUL. High quality, detailed, and sexy without being revealing. The dress is also very versatile. As noted, I wore it for NYE, and it was definitely fancy enough. However, it can be toned down and worn to something more casual. The leather side details add a unique twist to the dress and make it stand out. Because I ordered last minute for a holiday, I was only able to rent one size and unfortunately it happened to be what would have been my backup size. The dress still looked great, but I think my true size would have been a little more flattering. I belted the dress at the waist to cinch it a little and it wasn't a big deal. Side note: If you're a fan of "The City" or Olivia Palermo's style, she has worn this dress before!

After renting from RTR throughout the year, I received an email for a free dress rental! All I had to do was fill out a little survey to help the company gain some feedback. As part of the reward, participants chose a few different dates they would like to receive their dress. I received an email shortly afterwards assigning me a date that my dress would be sent. The only other stipulation was that you only received one size for this rental (fine by me). As for the dress, I have rented Herve Leger in the past and am a little obsessed. I loved the fit and quality as well as the compliments I received. I was a former runway rep at my school and the sailor bandage dress was featured in one of our fashion shows. When I got the email for my free rental I knew right away this was the dress. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed upon arrival. I rented the xs, as this is the size I had previously worn in Herve. I don't know if it was because it was a slightly different material, not as frequently rented, or just the style of the dress, but this dress was much tighter than the Heartbreaker dress. I got it on, but I had to have my friends help zip me in (and i swear i'm not big). The dress is gorgeous and looked fine on, but it was not so comfortable to dance and move around in. The Heartbreaker seemed to stretch and move with you while this was definitely more restricting. If renting I would suggest going a size up!

I rented this dress for my sorority semi-formal and LOVED it!! I received a ton of compliments and felt really confident all night! The color of the dress is a little darker and brighter in person than the somewhat neon pink shown in the picture. As for sizing, I rented a medium and an extra small because the small wasn't available. I ended up wearing the xs, which was very form fitting. The medium wasn't huge on me either, but it wasn't form fitting enough! Small probably would've been ideal.

Loved this dress! The beading and sequins are beautiful. I did notice one tiny area missing a few beads/sequins but only because I was looking...otherwise could not tell at all. This dress is very luxurious, doesn't look or feel cheap at all. Very versatile, I wore this to my college graduation. Do keep in mind that it is a shift-- it's not going to be tight, or at least it's not supposed to be. I did tie a black ribbon around the waist to define my shape a little.
