This Milly dress is a size 8. I'm pear-shaped. Size 10 pants, size 6/8 tops, 34B. I felt amazing in this dress for a number of reasons: 1)the vibrant color. 2) the fabric: it's medium weight stretch crepe and lined. It would work in summer if needed, but I was also warm enough during a Midwestern winter (with temps in the 30s). 3) the fit! This dress BANGS and people kept coming up all night to tell me so. It's conservative enough that you are fully covered, though if you have full thighs like me you might have to pull it down a bit. It's super comfortable with the stretch in the crepe fabric. I love love love this dress and would buy it. I initially ordered a Black Halo dress in white to wear to this party but there was a UPS snafu. RTR stepped in and saved the day for me, shipping this Milly to the store and making sure that they treated me like absolute royalty. I felt so cared for and they really moved heaven and earth to make sure I had a dress for this event on short notice. Olivia helped me online, and the ladies at my local store were truly sweet. The customer service alone made this rental 100% worth it. 12/10 would recommend this dress and RTR.

I wore this dress to my boyfriend's holiday party for work. It shipped in sizes 10 and 12 for me because of concerns about my bottom half. I'm pear-shaped so I always size up for close fitting garments. I tried on both and honestly couldn't tell much difference between them, but the 12 was slightly less rude about showing my little belly pooch (haha). The dress has some stretch and I didn't feel like being bothered with spanx or foundation garments. I wore a strapless bra with a lower back because of the lace. Despite my concerns about my bra back showing, it didn't--and I didn't even have to pin it down, yay! Because my top half is smaller (I wear a size 6 blazer at H &M), the extra straps closer to the shoulders on both were very loose and unflattering. I pinned them down so they wouldn't show. I was so comfortable all evening and got compliments on my style. Ultimately, I'd rent this one again in a heartbeat.

I'm a pear-shaped girl, with a smaller top and larger hips. For this dress, I rented both 8 and 10 since it was form-fitting, figuring that at the very least the 10 would fit me. Well, trying on, I noticed the 8 fit properly up top. I usually wear a 6 on top, and the 8 fit like a 6 usually does. The bottom was a different story entirely. I couldn't zip the 8 at all, with or without spanx. The 10 zipped without spanx but looked much better with. I noticed that the shoulders slid down on the 10, but not at all on the 8 (which fit properly up top, I think this means that the right fitting dress will have no droop issues) . With the fit being so tight on bottom I decided not to wear the dress at all. Sad, as it was really cute. Pear-shaped girls, beware!

I wore this dress to an early January wedding in Milwaukee. The fit was generous, but not too big. I'm a classic pear shape wearing most of my weight on hips and thighs (and honestly, I'm pushing close to 160lbs now) and this style was perfect for me in a size 6. I usually can do a size 6 if the bottom is generously cut. I got the 4 on but it would have been way too tight for breathing, eating and dancing! I wore with a regular bra for extra va-va-voom. My decolletage was definitely on display with the low cut v, so I recommend a plunge bra or a way to keep the bottom band hidden. I had no wardrobe malfunctions due to the conservatively-cut back on this dress. I'll also add that the full zipper from hem to neckline was handy for easy on and off. If you're pushing it to get into a smaller size, you will need help, as this dress offers no stretch. The color is more berry than red, so you can still get away with it at a wedding without being scandalous. I got many, many compliments and was told I looked "fit". Get this dress--no regrets whatsoever.

I'm a typical pear-shape and my top is 1-2 sizes smaller than my hips. This dress ran true to size. I got the small and the medium and had no problems fitting into either. This dress accommodated my larger hips really well, but the small was pretty tight around my mid-thigh area. I went with the medium because I knew I'd be walking a lot and appreciated the extra give. The tightness of the tulip skirt prevents it from riding up too much when you walk! Note that the lining ended up around my waist for most of the night due to the tightness around the thigh area, but it didn't bug me too much. Style wise: this dress was great for a Beyoncé concert. I added my own black belt and wore some comfortable black heeled booties. It was my second choice after my first dress didn't fit, and I wouldn't say I loved it, but it worked well for this occasion.

To die for dress. I put it on and everything looked good. I put it on with a bra--it looked great. I put it on without the bra--it looked great. I put it on without Spanx and it still looked fabulous. Ruching in all the right places and holds everything in so there are no lumps or bumps anywhere. Full coverage in back so you can wear any bra you like. Hugs every curve. It looked like I had the butt of a goddess. It was a teeeensy bit inappropriate for my work Christmas party so I didn't wear it out. But I'm fairly certain that if I had, I would have gotten a raise, ha! I would wear this baby anywhere other than work. Truly glorious.

I rented this for a work Christmas party. This dress was my first choice, but I ended up wearing another because this just didn't wow me. The look is rather boxy on top. The material is stretchy, so you can feel free to go a size down for a curvier look. Ladies with a large "endowment" can feel comfortable knowing a regular bra is ok under this dress. Those of you with less of a chest (like me)--know you will need your battle gear--massive padding--to fill out the top of this one. Despite this dress's beautiful color, the look simply did not impress me.

I pulled this dress on in a size 6. It fit every curve, but the strategic ruching meant I didn't have to wear Spanx to cover any problem areas. This dress has light stretch for just enough cling and the one shoulder with ruffle detailing set me apart from all the other women dressed in black for this holiday cocktail party. I must have looked great because my boyfriend couldn't stop staring all night and I even got a compliment: "gorgeous body!" from another woman there! Trust me, it wasn't my body--this dress is a definite win. Note that this dress is rather thin material so be strategic with undergarments. Up close you could see my black thong. :-/ Also, the zipper poked out once the dress was zipped. I think it's because i have a shorter torso than the model.
