I had to go up 2 size from my normal dress size, but the dress was very pretty. No stretch at all.

I'm an 8, prob 160-170lbs with athletic build (larger legs and butt) and the medium felt great on.
Nice and comfy, with some stretch to it. The slit does go kind of high, but not to high IMO. Tons of compliments on the dress all night.
