I rented this for my lost 18 year old daughter to spend a long day in NYC for Broadway and dinner at the Four Seasons Restaurant (just before it closed). It fit her perfectly (she's tall, thin with long legs and rather short and petite torso). The dress held up well considering she started wearing it at 6:30 am to get on a 3 hour Amtrak train ride to NYC and we didn't get to our hotel till past midnight. The fabric is rather thick and a bit stiff, but she didn't complain about it being too hot to wear all day in July. I think the weight of the fabric helped the dress keep its shape rather than wrinkle. The mystery bling (Blue Mohawk Earrings by Tova) was beautiful, in excellent condition (previously I've received some that look a bit too worn), and complemented the dress beautifully.

I couldn't wear this because I accidentally ordered it 4P and I'm a 4 regular (I'm 5'4" 130 lbs, with a 34A bra size, 30 inch waist, 39 inch hips). The dress was short on me as expected (ankle length). It fit snug but nicely around my hips and waist, but I couldn't zip it up past this point. I was not expecting that it would run small at the rib cage. I thought petite meant just for shorter people. At least that has been my prior experience. I was a by disappointed I couldn't wear it since this was going to be my "beanstalk" costume (as in Jack and the Beanstalk) for an "everything Jack-themed 70th birthday party (black tie/costume event). I'm glad I also ordered the Badgley Mishka emerald scarlet gown, which was a hit! Read my review (with photos) for my backup dress and mystery bling.

Gorgeous, but too big at the top. Also, the waist sits rather high, like half way between the waistline and the boobs. May work better on fuller chested women that can fill the top. Did not wear it.

Wore this for an Atlantic CIty, NJ getaway with my husband. I really stood out from a sea of black dresses in the casino, and people noticed. Both sizes fit, but the 4 was more comfortable, so I went with that one. It is VERY SHORT. Sorry that the picture is dar, but casinos are rather dark! I wore it with platform black shoes, and a chunky black stone necklace. I had simple diamond stud earrings and large silver bangles. I liked the color a lot, even though I don't typically wear pink. The color is exactly as on the website.

I rented this to go to the Madonna concert in Atlantic City, NJ with my husband. The color was very eye catching. I could feel the eyes on me. I wore it with gold accessories (lots of thin bangles, a heavy gold chain necklace and just diamond stud earrings) and brushed gold shoes. The elastic band was quite comfortable. I give it only a three-star because the waist was high on this dress, the lining hung a bit longer and stuck out at the hem a bit, and the elastic band didn't sit flat on the back. The elastic band was vey nice and flat on the front and the embellished waistband is a nice delicate detail. I didn't have fashion tape, so it was hard to keep my braw from showing. Despite the low V neck, I was able to wear a regular bra. It worked well for a small chest like mine. Because of the amount of fabric, there isn't much definition around the waist.The size 4 hit me mid thigh.

I rented this for a getaway with my husband to Atlantic City, NJ. It was perfect for a dinner for two or even for a more formal affair. While I am petite, I have a very curvaceous bottom. This was my first time renting this designer. This dress was extremely tight around my hips. The size 2 did not even go up around my hips. The size 4 was great on my bust (very small). The neckline was very flattering. It was mid-thigh on me.However, the lining has no stretch and so it was very tight but wearable. The eyelet fabric was loose, so it was ok to wear. The sash was shipped in a separate package for both sizes, so I missed it was even in the box. However, I probably wouldn't have worn it anyways. I liked the loose sheath look with a well fitted lining. While extremely tight, I would consider renting it again. I wore it with silver accessories and rhinestone studded sandals.

I worev the size 4 for Easter, since it sat better at my waistline. However, the elastic band at the waist was totally stretched out. Fortunately, the sash provided helped cinch it in. It worked very well for a small chest. The white trim wasn't white in either dress. It seems as if the dark navy if the dress had darkened it during the wash. It was more like tannish/grey, but it worked well with tan shoes.

I wore this for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party, which I hosted at my house. I needed elegance and comfort while I moved around juggling caterers, wait staff and a surprise mariachi band. This dress allowed for that. The white trim wasn't as crisp. It was by now more off-white, but it still looked very nice. I wore it with a string of pearls and white high heeled, slip on sandals. The fit is very flattering. It hit me about 4 inches above the knee.

However, bra is not padded but that wasn't a problem for me.

The size 2 fit me great (didn't even try the size 4). Warning - it does come down pretty low in the armpit so you have to think about what bra to wear. I did not wear one. You can't see it in the picture, but it actually has 2 layers of silk (look closely at the hem). So, it offered enough boob coverage for me.

I could have worn either the size 2 or the 4, but went with the size 2 because it was smaller on the chest. It also hugged the hips really well, which I think it is key with this dress. Also, the size 4 was a bit frayed. The sleeves were no problem, even during a formal 6-course dinner. Warning!! You can't lift your arms with this dress and need to know how to sit down properly to not give a peep show. However, I was able to dance in it with no problem in the dance clubs. I wore my hair back as the model, but with more "showy" accessories (silver) and silver platform 4.5 inch heels, for a more "over the top" look, which is OK for Vegas. If the short length is an issue, you could wear it with black stockings/tights. Can't wait to rent it again.
