This was perfect for a formal dinner celebrating medical residents. It's appropriately long and conservative enough for a formal event, without being uninteresting. The bronze sparkle is just enough for interest without stealing the show. Also a perfect dress for sitting, dancing, and eating! I definitely felt like the belle of the ball without stealing the spotlight. I also got lots of compliments. The fabric feels like the comfiest jammies, but the material isn't see through. I found with the slight texture that a bra wasn't necessary. If you're more well endowed you'll need a special bra since the back has a large peek-a-boo opening that occasionally might display a bra strap. I'm 5'4", and with an inch heel I felt like the length was passable, but would drag on the ground if I needed flat shoes. Overall, it was the perfect choice for a formal event where conformation is important, but you want to stand out just a little.
