I rented this for a concerto performance with a symphony orchestra. This was my backup dress, and it was only available two sizes larger than my normal size (I usually wear a size 10) so I opted to chance it since other reviews stated that this dress runs quite small. This 14 was just a tiny bit loose around my ribcage (but I appreciated the room to breathe). From the waist on down, it definitely was too big - a 12 or perhaps even a 10 would have fit me better. One thing that the pictures don't make clear is that this dress has a bit of a mermaid cut to it - not A-line. The dress is cut to cling to your rear, but since it was loose on me, that effect was lost. Overall, I was happy with my rental. The length was perfect for me (I'm 5 ft 5 in, and I wore this dress with 3 inch heels and the skirt just skimmed the floor), and I got so many compliments on this dress! It is quite figure-flattering and forgiving, and the color is even more stunning in person.

I typically wear a size 10 dress but have worn everything from 8-12 depending on the designer. When I saw all the reviews stating that this dress tends to run true to size/a bit large, I opted to order a 10 and an 8 as a backup. I should have ordered a 12, because I couldn't zip the dress up over my ribcage. It's a beautiful dress, and it would have been the perfect length for my 5 ft 5 in frame with a 2-3 inch heel, but I wasn't able to wear it.
