length is always most important to me! i wore four inch heels and this dress worked okay -- the black underslip was too short, but the sheer gold overdress hung several inches longer, and at least gave the illusion that the dress was longer than it actually is. if i'd have worn flats, or lower heels, it would have been just fine. the dress was comfortable and fit well everywhere else.

this dress feels great on -- it's stretchy and heavy. couldn't wear a bra with it, but as i'm small busted and it has built-in cups, that wasn't too big a problem. i'm tall, and even the 6L wasn't quite enough to conquer my high heels -- but it was pretty close, and not bad at all so long as i remembered to pull it down a bit each time i stood up after sitting.

very cute, vintage-y style. it's shot through with metallic silver threads, so is much shinier than the photos show. as some reviews indicate, the bust is a bit generous for someone with small breasts, but a padded bra made that nearly unnoticeable. the skirt IS very poufy (thanks to crinoline underneath), but on a tall person, that's not too big a problem. overall, very comfortable, the pockets rock, and people were very complimentary.

herve leger dresses are my very favorite, as they always fit so beautifully and feel so good. the fabric is heavy and the dress is weighty. it goes on very tight, but once the material warms up, it stretches perfectly to fit my body, and is so easy to wear. no spanx, no bra -- this dress just holds everything right where it should be. the ombre greys are gorgeous, and having the darkest color at the waist is brilliant.

the lace on this dress is dark blue; the tulle and underdress are champagne. it's a lovely combination. the dress is very short, but i didn't have any problems with sitting or walking, and it was completely fun to wear something so dramatic. the four was tight on me. if i were to rent it again i'd probably get the six instead, just to be more comfortable, as the dress has no stretch whatsoever. the sleeves were the trickiest part because my upper arms are muscular and about eleven inches around -- i was just able to fit. any bigger and it wouldn't have worked out.

the dress i'd ordered was damaged by the prior renter, so at the last minute, i selected this one to replace it. at such short notice, the size small wasn't available, so i went with the medium. it wasn't as tight as i'm used to with these dresses, (just had to do a little of my own tummy-holding in) but was still gorgeous. definitely a deep neckline, so i opted for the stick-on bra.

in addition to looking badass rock and roll, this clutch fit cash/credit cards/id, my cell phone, lipstick, and even a powder compact. pretty much everything i'd want in an evening bag. the magnet that closes it is super strong, and i never worried about losing anything. the only tricky thing about it was that the black and clear cut stone detail on the front of the bag wasn't secured very well, and had a tendency to slip off, so i was afraid to use the chain strap, and kept the clutch in my hand or under my arm all night, to be sure the decoration wouldn't be accidentally knocked off.

the dress runs a bit large -- i wore the xs, (which is ridiculous, since i'm nearly six feet tall, thick waisted, and broad shouldered) but it fit great, and i loved that it is very short. the sleeves were just long enough for my long arms (same with the size small, which i also tried), but looked fine so long as i didn't stick my arms up in the air; and the belt gave the illusion of a smaller waist, which was lovely.

this dress fits very snugly, but in the best possible way. like all herve bandage dresses, you won't need spanx, and you'll feel supported and comfortable for hours. i thought the length was perfect, though it did need a tug down upon standing up, and after walking a while -- it works its way up some. i normally have a more narrow, athletic shape, but this dress pulled my waist in, and made me look much more hourglass than i'm used to -- a wonderful perk!

the dress is perfect. takes a friend (or two) to get it zipped, but once it's on, it looks and feels terrific. no spanx needed, not even a bra, as the material is so thick and tight, everything just stays where it should.

this dress felt terrific all night; no red marks from straps or seams, no need for spanx, plenty of room for dinner, didn't ride up dangerously high when i sat down; really, it was just perfect. i didn't try the medium on--the small was ideal. and boobs! i got boobs! happiness.

gorgeous dress, runs large--if it had been numerically sized, I would have chosen the next smaller down, but in the case of s, m, l, the medium worked fine. it hugs so well, I didn't need spanx, and it even gave me some cleavage, which is saying something.
