Catches on fabric

The event theme was "sparkles," so I added these earrings to the RTR dress I wore (in the pic). The earrings were not too heavy for my ears (to my surprise since I don't wear heavy ones regularly). They added great sparkle to the outfit, but they frequently caught on my scarf and dress fabric. Also, some of the little dangle strands of jewels were turned around and facing backwards, despite my efforts to have them face front. They are held together by thread instead of metal, and I was worried about those falling off. Nothing did, though.

Simple & Beautiful

This was my back up dress, and they only had a 10 available (I'm usually a size 8). Luckily, since it was a drape-y kind of style, you couldn't really tell it was a bit too big. I used some fashion tape around the top to hold it in place, and that worked fine. I wore long, dramatic earrings (also RTR), but the ends of the earrings brushed against the straps when I moved my head, and sometimes got stuck on them. So beware if you wear long earrings that they don't have edges to catch on the fabric. Overall it was very comfortable, almost exactly floor length for me (5'4") with a low 2" heel. A size 8 would have probably fit a tad bit better. The fabric does have some stretch to it, and the drape style was very forgiving. Will definitely rent this as my back up dress in the future!

Unforgiving - no stretch

I was not able to wear either my main size or my back up size of this dress. It is mermaid style, and very unforgiving. I'm smaller in my chest (B on a good day), and bigger in my hips and thighs. Usually wear a size 8, but since it was after Thanksgiving week, I couldn't fit into the size 10R either. Went on a crash diet for 4 days, and managed to get into the 10R and then the 8R, but it just didn't fit me well. I'm short at 5'4", so there was a little bit of a train/drag on the dress I was worried about getting stepped on. The bust area was too big for me, and the hips/thighs on the dress were too tight for comfort. Lesson for myself: order 2 sizes up after Thanksgiving week! For others - just know this is a very tight fit and it doesn't stretch.

Beautiful dress - no stretch at all, made for tall people & long torsos

This was a great dress, and I received several compliments on it! I wore it to a fundraising gala with a 1970s theme (that's why the shoes are a bit funky). The dress was quite snug, as the fabric is satin and has no stretch to it at all. The larger size as a back up wasn't available the day it was supposed to ship, so I only had one option. The middle section of it is probably best suited for tall people (I'm only 5'4"). I ended up having to let it gather a bit at my abdomen so it didn't drag on the floor. Since it was snug, that seemed to work ok and more or less look like it was the style of the dress since the top gathered too. I used several pieces of strategically placed double sided tape so I didn't flash anyone that night, and that part worked great. I loved the way it flowed when I walked - that was awesome.

Stretchy, fit well, straps long, went braless

I loved this dress, and felt awesome in it. I wore it to a fancy fundraising gala for an evening. I struggled to find shoes that both looked good and didn't hurt - no complete winner. (Such is the life of being a female.) They look great with stilettoes, but I just can't manage those more than 20 minutes. In any case, the straps were a bit long, as others have said, and the darts in the bust didn't fall in the right place for me. I'm relatively small chested (B-cup), so it was probably built for someone more well-endowed. With a larger bust, the straps may have fit just fine. I used a decorative barrette to pull the straps together in the back at the top of the dress, and that worked fine for the evening. The fabric does have some stretch to it, which makes it fit snugly. I wore the US size 8 version, which is my usual size, and it fit great. I was even excited that my spanx fit under it, and stayed hidden! I'm sure having the straps/dress pulled up a bit from the barrette helped that situation too.
