I wore this dress for my law school graduation ceremony (our robes were red so I had to pick a color that wouldn't clash with the robes). It's a wonderful formal daytime dress. The best thing about it were the pockets: I was able to put a small wallet in one pocket and my phone in the other to avoid having to carry a purse into the graduation ceremony. The pockets are deep enough that nothing fell out when I sat down, and the A-line skirt ensured that the dress wasn't bulky with things in the pockets. I also liked how the fabric was a bit heavy without being too hot for the occasion. The only bad part about the dress was that it was super tight right under my chest: based on the reviews that said the dress ran large, I ordered my normal size 6 and then sized down to a 4. Perhaps due to all the eating during graduation weekend, the 6 fit but it was a little snug: there was no way the 4 was going to work. Because I have a larger chest the 8 probably would have fit better.

After receiving 3 dresses for New Year's Eve that didn't fit with my body type, the RTR emergency stylist overnighted this dress to me, which was extremely similar to the Nicole Miller dress I had originally ordered. The zipper on the beige slip under the black lace overlay is a bit awkward, but does help get the dress on and off. The best part was that while the open back was super sexy, I could still wear a normal bra (with straps!) with the dress! I was very comfortable in it all night.

Wore the dress without a bra (the nu bra kept slipping down as it became sweaty), but it worked well, not too scratchy, and the fabric/sequins covered up mid-section body flaws wonderfully!

This dress did not fit like I thought it would at all! By putting her hand on her hip, the model hides how long the torso of the dress is before the skirt begins. I tried using a fashion belt to break up the long, plain torso but that didn't help much. I knew the dress may be a bit long, but I rented it based on reviews of other women 5' 3"-5' 5": wearing the small, the torso was way too long and the top of the dress kept bunching up. Perhaps the XS would have worked. The good thing is that the dress is so thick you don't need to wear a bra with it. This may look good on someone taller with heels, but it wasn't right for me.
