I wore this dress for a beach wedding. It was a beautiful, high quality dress and I definitely recommend it. However, it was about 90 degrees where I was and the dress has two layers and a lot of fabric. Because it was a beach wedding, I wore sandals, so I felt a bit overwhelmed by the dress because of the length and layers of fabric. I would recommend wearing it if you are wearing wedges and if it is a bit cooler.

True to the other reviews, the dress truly does run large - I am usually concerned about shift type dresses because of my butt and hips, but I had no problem wearing the 4. I would size at least one down, maybe 2 if you want it to be a little bit less tent-like. I rented this dress for a Halloween party - the US size 6 was the only available so I went with that but I definitely could have used the 4 as it the skirt can be a bit puffy. Overall I liked the dress for the occasion, but the material was pretty thin cotton and didn't really seem to be the highest quality. Curvy girls beware - this dress runs small through the hips and is extremely formfitting. I would recommend spanx for sure. I rented this dress through my unlimited subscription for a test run for a bridesmaids dress that was the same cut but a different color. Honestly, the color of the dress was more like dishwater than anything else. My colleagues and I joked that it would be a perfect costume for a ghost to wear on Halloween. I wore this dress to a black tie fundraiser in Florida so it was very appropriate and fun. The colors are actually more vibrant in person - the skirt is not as dark. The one problem with the dress for me was how large the top was - I probably could have gone down to a size 2 and been a bit more comfortable since you cannot wear a bra with the dress. If you are smaller in the chest like I am, I would size down or be prepared with a safety pin.

I wore this to a NYE dinner party and I would describe the dress as just okay. Usually with dresses in this shape, the fabric is heavier so it falls really nicely, but I didn't really feel the dress was all that flattering. I would DEFINITELY go down a size if you do not have a big chest. I could have easily worn a 2 and I pretty consistently wear a 4. I had to order a long instead of a regular because I ordered the dress too close to the event date and I definitely would have chosen a regular if I could. The long was VERY long. I am 5'6 and wore 5-6 inch heels and the dress still grazed the ground. If you are even 5'7 or 5'8 I would go with a regular length. Otherwise it was beautiful and vibrant and very flattering.

I actually ended up returning this dress for fit. I was supposed to wear it to my boyfriends office Christmas party but it was too tight in the hips area and fit very well in the waist up. If you have a pear shaped body and are uncomfortable with dresses tight around the hip area, I would recommend trying a different dress. This dress is GREAT color (especially vibrant in pictures) but it is definitely snug across the rib cage. I usually wear a 4 in dress that are similarly cut, but had to go up one to be comfy. The lining of this dress is a bit snug if you have hips. It technically fit (it zipped etc) but it puckered up and did not lay smoothly over my hips and butt. I went up a size based on other reviews about the lining and it still didn't look great. and it gaped in the back. If you are remotely pear shaped, I wouldn't recommend this dress even though it was really pretty in person!

The dress is actually much brighter and prettier than in the picture. I wore it to a bridal shower in the 4, but I probably could have worn a 2 in this style dress - just as an FYI if you have a small waist.

Great fun print for a wedding - gots lots of compliments! There is boning in the top so if you have a bigger chest you might want to go up a size. Very flattering in the waist area!
