Oh, how much do I love this dress? Let me count the ways.... 1. Perfectly appropriate: I wore this to my children's school fundraiser, so wanted something tasteful and appropriate - i.e. no backless dresses showing off the tattoos from my teens and 20s. :) This fit the bill nicely and really worked beautifully with the necklace suggested by RTR as the big accessory. 2. Fun skirt: the skirt portion of the dress flared out beautifully while dancing, which is, I am sure we can all agree, pretty awesome. Especially if you've got in insane heels that make your legs look awesome. 3. Vintagey look without making it look like I rented something at a costume store: that pretty much sums it up, but this was very Hepburn meets modern. 4. Ridiculously comfortable: Did not have to wear one bit of spanx, suck-em-in underthings, or similar. Just regular underclothing. The fabric is thick and slightly stretchy, which made everything look smooth where it typically would not and was really very comfortable to dance in. Sigh. Wish I could buy this, it would be such a LBD closet staple. Love you, my friend...and miss you.

Have never received so many compliments!
I rented this necklace to be the wow factor for a simple black dress. The event was for my kids' school, so I wanted a tasteful and appropriate outfit (hence the plain dress), this necklace took the whole thing from "pretty nice" to "wow." Well, some red lipstick may have helped.... I lost count of how many people admired the necklace, it was so sad to have to box it up and send it back....kind of like saying goodbye to an awesome new friend.

Very pretty, feminine.
I ordered this dress for a formal gala in November 2010. I did not end up wearing it, though I was on the fence about which dress i should wear (went with a sequined number instead.) I really loved the fit, though - made me feel very feminine and the color was unusual for a late autumn event. The main reason I did not wear it was because I could see the seam of my spanx through the material - I was curvier back then and in need of a little smoothing support. Otherwise, it was a perfect dress.

Classic, timeless, and elegant.
I wore this dress to a fundraising event I planned. I needed something that was professional but still memorable, yet comfortable to be running around in. I also needed some modesty - I didn't want a super sexy dress since this was a fundraiser for a school my children attend, and we had a lot of community leaders attending. This dress fit the bill perfectly. It was very comfortable, the cut was modest (i.e. my back was covered and the cleavage was right on target,) and the length was just right. I felt very elegant and classic, but super ahead of the game because no one else had a sequined dress on (I wore this in 2010, before major retailers had caught on that sequins were back.) I was actually pulled on stage to help with the live auction portion of the evening, which required a bit of "Vanna Whiting," so it was perfect and shimmery. I had a great time in this dress! Oh, and I felt it fit a little large. I was probably in the 130 lb range at the time and wore a size 4.
