As stated by others, it is pretty low cut. It's also decently long so you likely won't be able to do flats. I didn't love any of my necklaces with it (drew a little too much attention to my chest), but I would have probably liked one of the RTR suggested options, so definitely consider them. I did neutral makeup with a bright apple/cherry red lip, which was a nice combo. Definitely an attention getting dress that is comfortable and makes you feel beautiful!

I wore this to a night-before-wedding celebration (outdoors). It was gorgeous and the little flair in the skirt was fun and figure flattering. My only note is that you have to be mindful which bra you wear under the dress because it cuts in more narrowly than I anticipated (or remembered reading in reviews). Looked really great with nude pumps!

I wore this to an outdoor, spring "hybrid" Indian-American wedding in Austin, TX. It was perfect. The lace was classy and fun, the color was great, and I loved the pockets. Figure flattering for sure. I wore the 4 because the 2 wasn't available and it was a little large on me - I usually wear a 2 and it would have been perfect.

I wore this for a "career moment" party. I paired it with nude heels and a black Theory tailored jacket (but I live in southern California so I took of the coat a lot). This dress made me feel confident, appropriately sexy (the waist detail accentuates/makes waists look smaller), and stylish without looking like I tried too hard. The cap sleeves were really cute, but if you wear this to a wedding or anything where you intend to lift your hands a lot, be careful because there isn't a lot of "give" and the dress could get short very quickly (clearly, I am an awesome dancer...).

I wore this dress to a pretty formal rehearsal dinner for a September wedding (labor day in Vermont). I loved it, got so many compliments and should have saved it for the wedding as opposed to the rehearsal. Some notes... I have long legs relative to my torso (I am 5'6") and I needed decent heels (like 4") to make the length work. I also don't have a large chest (sigh) so the deep-v wasn't a problem for me... but could be if you are more blessed. Nothing a well placed safety pin wouldn't fix though.

I wore this to a very formal wedding in the late summer. It is incredibly flattering, refined, sophisticated and I honestly am going to buy it. The back has a bow on top and your mid-back will be exposed. You could wear this to a work event, just be mindful that the bow would look odd under a blazer/jacket. Also, if you are going to wear shapewear underneath, you need to make sure it doesn't show where the cutoutin the back is. The fabric is thicker and gives more structure than I thought it would from the above picture. I rented with the green necklace RTR suggested and it really completed the look! I have rented a TON and this is honestly my favorite dress so far.
