I wore this to a wedding. Pro: very comfortable, stretchy, color is beautiful. My skin matches the lining almost exactly so it almost looks like I'm wearing see-through lace. Con: so short! I am a short person and while this was fine to stand in, any kind of dancing or moving made this dress inappropriately short. I felt self conscious about the length all night while dancing and found my self pulling the dress down the whole time. I fit the 8 also but it felt even shorter so I went up a size for some length. If you are comfortable in a short dress, this is great then! If you fear asking your baby maker, not the dress for you. Otherwise, this is a pretty lace, but it did have a few snags and some pilling. Not noticeable unless you're carefully pouring over the lace (I happened to have some time to kill during the wedding and noticed some of the pulls and pilling).

The dress has a V in the back. The overlay is a few inches longer than the under layer which is beige in color. The dress is very light and the skirt is very full. I'm 5 foot 2 inches and this is knee length but full skirt is flattering with the fitted waist. I would wear this again!

I'm 5'2" and on me this is knee length. The skirt is full and with pockets. The fabric has a beautiful shimmer to it that you just can't see in the model picture.

For comparison: I wear a size 10petite dress in banana republic, a 6p/8p in Ann Taylor dresses. Size 6 banana pants. Size 8 Jcrew pants, size 8 gap pants, size 6 Ann Taylor loft pants. I wear a 10petite top in banana (larger bust) In this dress I wore a size 8 comfortably, not too tight or loose. This dress is a stretchy material and spanx are generally a good idea just for the smoothest look. It works great for a larger chest (I am a 34DDD). The v neck is not so low that even a bra that is full coverage is appropriate. I am 5'2" and this comes above my knee by two inches about. The armpit isn't so low that the bra shows there either. I bought this dress for keeps.

For size comparison: I wear a size 8 petite dress at ann taylor, size 6/8 dress pants from Banana Republic, size 8/10 pants from J.crew, size 10 petite dress from J.Crew, size 8 or 10 in Shoshanna dresses. Size 8 in the banana peppers dress (badgley mischka) and size 8 in erin fetherston dresses. This dress was super small across the shoulders, chest, and ribcage in size 10 and 12. I could zip it up in both sizes but it was simply not comfortable. The bottom half, waist through hips, fit fine in both sizes, less A-line in the size 10. I did not wear either dress to my event. It hit several inches above my knee in both sizes. Fabric has no stretch at all. If you are full chested, it gives the "smooshed boobs" look. The model picture isn't a true representation of this dress. It looks like sequins on the internet, but it's not. It's like a shiny thread embroidery in circle shapes. But the dress definitely does have a sheen to it. I would not rent this again, but that's just because it wasn't for me.
