I was given the incredible honor of officiating a friend's wedding. So while the event was not black tie, I felt I needed something dressier as the officiant, but also not over the top (its about the bride and groom after all!). This dress was PERFECT. It's bright color stands out but its simple design prevents it from being overly gaudy or showy. Many reviewers said that the dress was incredibly long so I ordered the 4p and the 6r (i'm normally a 4r but they didn't have it). I cannot wear 3" heels, esp not if i'm processing down an aisle w/ the wedding party. Turns out I think other reviewers have exaggerated a bit. The dress is long, yes, but as you can see my feet in this pic, I'm only wearing 1.5" heels. It is not so long that you'll be sweeping the floor with it. If yo'ure at least 5'3" I think you can get away with shoes less than 3". I ended up going with the 4P and frankly I could have been barefoot and it would not have swept the floor. The zipper was a pain in the a$$ and you'll need somebody to help you jimmy it, but once its on, its fine, and its very comfortable. The picture here doesn't have great exposure so I apologize but it gives a full length picture. The skirt felt very comfortable and flowy so I could dance all night. The top is ideal if you are NOT large busted (I'm a B cup) because I think large busted girls would find it very tight. It's somewhat ruched on top so it does help create some curves, but the power of this is not in that it makes you shapely, its in that it makes you look elegant and regal while still being really fun. I paired it with the Alexis Bittar earrings that are features on the model and a simple gold cuff--no other jewelry. I received compliments all night and cannot wait to see the professional shots!

Wore this along w/ the Badgley Mishka Make Love Not War Gown (as recommended by RTR) for a wedding for which I was the officiant. The combo was perfect and the look was classy and fun. The earrings are a little heavy but I didn't notice after a while and I received compliments. Of course you should wear your hair up and not wear any other accessories around the neckline. I have a tiny head as you can see in the pic and the earrings were pretty huge but didn't look gaudy at all.

I really wanted to like this bangle. It's funky and interesting and a standalone accessory. The other reviews were okay. Unfortunately it didn't work for me--I found it to be big, clunky and cheap-looking. I actually didn't end up wearing it because I thought it brought down the classiness of the Halson Heritage gown I rented. I think partially it may be because I'm a bit delicately framed, which makes chunky bangles a bit of a risk for me anyway. It's still cool looking but not for everybody.

Unfortunately I don't have a photo to post but I was very pleased with the stress. It was simple yet fun and fresh with its color block design. The over the knee cut is the perfect length for a more formal affair without being overly gowny. I have darker skin and the fuchsia and mustard looked great against my skin tone.. My husband even asked if we could buy it!

Although the previous reviews were pretty clear on the fact that these earrings are big and heavy, I think I really underestimated just how big and heavy they were going to be. First, they are clip ons, which I did not expect. I have pierced ears and frequently wear big earrings but as clip ons they certainly would have flown right off while I was dancing. As far as the size, I have a small face, and from top to bottom the oval length ran from my temple to my chin--2/3 of my face!! It would have been wayyyy too big. That said, they are very attractive, and they would have matched the emerald green dress I rented, but the fact that they were clip on and really huge ultimately resulted in my not wearing them.

This dress is gorgeous: flowy & elegant but still fun! I wore it for a black tie optional wedding and the single strap and slit created a sexy effect while still appearing classy. The slit is also highly functional--I didn't feel restricted at all walking around or dancing. The emerald green color was particularly flattering on my brown skin tone. The fabric is breathable and overall the dress was very comfortable. I wore kitten heels (maybe 1.5 inch) so the regular length was perfect and I wasn't sweeping the floor or holding it up to walk. I think it might run a little small--I am usually a 4 but ended up wearing the 6, although even that was tight and I might have actually fit in an 8 which is never my size. The only con I will say is that the zippers were a nightmare. I struggled to zip and unzip even on the hanger, and when it came time to put it on my husband had to use a pair of pliers to pull it up! It was fine once I had it one, but I think RTR should just test drive the zippers a bit since they are finicky. Don't let that stop you from renting this dress--it's beautiful and I was receiving compliments from other guests all night!
