Eh (but that's just me; this dress may be great for you!)
Typically love this brand, but wasn't into this dress. It's much fancier than I realized; it has a crystal detail at the hip that isn't my style. But it may be perfect for you, so feel free to ignore me. This dress fits TTS and the fabric is nice as silky soft, so it feels nice to wear. The cut is high crew neck, capped sleeves, and a loose, blowsey top. The skirt is fitted through the hips and then it hangs at a slight angle at the hemline. It's long but not dragging on the floor. I walked around in flip flops with plenty of room. Give it a shot. It's a gorgeous dress, even if not for me.

Perfect for Spring!
Lovely floral pattern that's perfect for spring/summer. Long-sleeved but lightweight and long but not terribly long. Moves easily as you walk. Fits TTS in the truest sense: this is a bodycon dress and is very form fitting. I wore one with tags, so it may stretch out with repeat use. This dress is gorgeous. Recommend!

V low cut
Beautiful dress, fits TTS (maybe a little larger), and very warm for winter. V-neck super low--kept wondering where the buttons were--and fabric heavy. I wore it on a spring day and was roasting after an hour. Would try it again during the winter.

A LOT…of good
Had low expectations of this rental and was blown away when I tried it on. It’s enormous, to be frank, but it has a built in belt that transforms this dress from a giant’s shirt to a 70s-esque shirt dress. It’s bold and long and moves effortlessly around you glide around the room. It’s also a crowd pleaser: I kept getting stopped on the street by people asking what it was, whether it was vintage, where I got it, etc. Definitely recommend!

Love this designer, but…
NOT this dress. Fits TTS on the top, but becomes a bit of a sack dress south of the waist line. Tried to add a belt, but that seemed to make it worse. I’m also not a fan of zipper necklines (only for outerwear, please!). One star for the warm fabric.

Friar Tuck Fail
Itchy, shapeless, burlap sack. Tries to have a scarf top, but the scarf never stays so you just have one long random strand of burlap hanging around. Seemingly there are also pockets, but with the belt tied the pockets end up in odd, inconvenient places, rendering them useless. Not super warm either. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. No not recommend at all.

Love this coat
Wore this last fall and am back again this spring. I also rented the beige/brown plaid version, but I'm not so big on plaid so I'm back to the grey. All said, should be clear that I'm crazy about this coat. It fits well. I like the wide, open neckline. It has pockets! Yes, you usually get pockets with coats, but I'm nonetheless delighted whenever I get pockets with something--how sad is that?! The material is soft. And the sleeves are almost long enough to fit my orangutan arms. It gets LOTS of compliments. The one I just rented had a weird replacement belt, which ruined the look. Besides that, I recommend!

So great, but so long!
This is a 5’9” minimum dress, please be advised. Regrettably, I’m 5’6” and brought this to a family event with shoes that only bumped me up to 5’7”. It’s a gorgeous dress that fits perfectly, garnering lots of comments. Though I was fine to wear it while sitting, I grew tired of carrying it around while walking from place to place. I adore this brand and really wanted to wear this dress, but ended up changing into another dress that required less armwork. Unreservedly recommend for the taller set. Ye among us sub 5’9”, La Double J has loads of shorter dresses equally adorable. Check them out!

A little underwhelming
Perfectly nice, fits like a glove, just not all that special. Someone confused it with a DVF and I thought, “This is a sad day for both of us (the dress & me).” But, maybe they weren’t far off. The dress was fine, it clothed my body, but it didn’t add the kind of value you expect from this brand. Come on, Etro, you’re better than this. I’m afraid I can’t do much better than a C-.

V cool, watch the leg
Another killer Monse dress, this one two blue striped oxford shirt stitched together. I’m sure it fits well, I just ordered a size up because my size was unavailable (it was still amazing). It’s a little too sexy for work because the bottom oxford shirt shows a lot of left leg, especially when sitting. Of course, if you have a cooler job/office than I, by all means go out and slay in this thing. This dress gets an A for Abso-freaking-lutely. Recommend!

Class act
TTS stripped button down shirt dress with double flared sleeves. Hits mid-calf making it safe for work. But please gnore the comments that this dress is too big or has too much fabric. It’s beautifully cut and caries a quiet elegance. Admittedly, I was nervous about renting it, but I’m so glad I did because it’s one of my favorite rentals of all time. Highly recommend!

Am I the only one seeing this?
This dress is translucent. And it’s enough so that you can make out the parts that you don’t want the public to see. You can’t exactly wear a bra with this dress, so I’m not sure how to fix that part. Of course, you can wear nude underwear on the bottom, but you can still see pretty well through what you’re wearing on the bottom—or top, or anywhere else. I was surprised that none of the reviews mentioned this. No matter; I offer this as a heads up for any future renters. It’s a very comfortable dress, it fits TTS, and it’s breezy for the summer. But, I’d suggest that this is a great dress for home, hanging with a partner, maybe a pool/beach cover up, or something else along those lines.

A gore-tex sac dress, but I loved it!
In many ways this dress reminded me of those cartoons of people wearing empty wooden barrels as clothing, two straps at the top like suspenders to hold it up. Google “bankruptcy barrel” if you don’t follow. Indeed, the material, though described as polyester, feels much more like some of my heavier duty Patagonia coats; good to know that this dress hold up in a snowstorm. Yet, despite these seemingly disqualifying elements—or, dare I say *because* of these bizarro features—this dress is amusingly lovely. The top is corseted and small; heads up there. The ties are yours to adjust. From there, you really are wearing a tent, and a very breathable one at that. Who knew gore-tex was light as linen in stifling summer heat?! You can wear this with flats during the day or add a kitten heel to go out at night. My only hesitation in recommending this dress wholeheartedly is the top, corseted part: it is tight and as other reviews have suggested may be better suited for smaller-chested ladies. Even if this dress isn’t for you, give this designer a chance. You’ll be happy you did!

Like wearing an old t-shirt
Super soft cotton, like boyfriend t-shirt comfortable, that’s TTS and can be adjusted in the back to fit to your shoulders/back/chest. I’d like to spend the rest of my days in this dress; though, I don’t think I’d ever wear this dress outside/in public. It’s more of a lounge and be fabulous—and fabulously comfortable—dress. My one issue with this dress is that it’s outrageously expensive for what it is. Yes, the fabric is appealing; but, the design isn’t unique or complicated. I have three beautiful silk dresses made using the same design, and I bought them for $20 a piece.

Cute summer dress, V short
Cute enough dress, fits TTS, perfect for a summer party—STANDING ONLY. The color is darker than a peach, not quite a pinky as a salmon, but headed in that direction. The top is roomy—I wouldn’t say bulky as has been mentioned—for the purpose of creating a very open boatneck. The neckline is such an open boat (sorry, no more nautical metaphors, promise) that it can almost sit atop the shoulders showing a full collarbone. This is combined with a pretty short (not for sitting, and absolutely NO bending over) and form fitting skirt. One annoying thing: the hanger loops never stay inside the dress. If this were my dress, I’d cut them off immediately. Instead, I looped them around the upper part of the sleeves, narrowing the sleeves and creating a wider neckline. I also tried tying them together inside the dress using ribbon or a barrette. These worked fine too. Good luck!

I love this designer, but some things turn out less than great. This is made of cotton, but is super stiff such that it’s uncomfortable and scratchy. I wore it with an A-line skirt, which worked well enough, but I couldn’t wait to take it off when I got home. You can do the sleeves around your shoulders for a full neckline, or on top of your shoulders like a t-shirt. It’s TTS, and surely more interesting than most off the shoulder shirts on the market. It’s just not super comfortable. B-

Got this new and didn’t know what to expect. This dress blew me away. It’s far more interesting than it looks. The lower half has a high/low contrast cut. The dress overall has a medium waist with a cut at the arms that shows off the shoulders. It fits TTS, maybe a little large. I wanted to buy, but it was brand new and full price so I’m waiting. Love, even though this color is terrible on me
It’s true: I have no business wearing light blue. But this dress is so lovely that it was worth ignoring the color and wearing a big sunhat to hide the ‘me’ of it all. The dress fits TTS, is a nice tea length, hugs in all of the right places while draping past the spots best left ignored, and moves easily around you when you walk. Highly recommend.
