Very cute. Very mini.
I gave this four stars rather than five because of the way the skirt hung. The back is significantly longer than the front, and I couldn't determine if that's how it's designed or a flaw with the particular dress I received. However, I still wore it twice and received plenty of compliments.

Great dress
This is a great dress. Very petite friendly. Though the sleeves were long for me, they look cute rolled up. Snaps on the side give a bit of adjustability to the waist. It's very form fitting and has spacious pockets.

Petite friendly and versatile
Since I'm in a warm climate, I never paired it with a blouse underneath as I'd intended. The fit was very tight in the bust, and I'm not sure it would've worked with an additional layer underneath. The short length is perfect for petites. Taller ladies, be advised it's a true mini.

Even though I always want to like wrap styles like this, in reality, I never find them very practical. There's always a lot of fiddling with the closure, ties, snaps, etc. When posing just right, it's cute, but too much movement in any direction and there's a risk of a wardrobe malfunction.

Incredibly flattering for petites!
I wore this to a fundraising gala and received a ton of compliments. Although it's shorter than I'd usually choose, it was easy for someone under 5 feet tall to pull off. I'd advise caution for the taller ladies.

Usually I love Madewell but this dress was just ok. It's a comfortable casual look but the fit wasn't the most flattering for my petite frame. It would look better on someone 5'4" and up.

Buttons are a struggle
The buttons on the halter are so tight they're nearly inoperable. That almost prevented me from wearing this romper, but I'm glad to have prevailed because it's both cute and comfortable. Worth the struggle but I do wonder why those buttons are so difficult.

Quite small, even for petite
Other shirts from Rails fit me perfectly in XS, but this shirt runs very small in the shoulders, arms and overall length. I saw others' reviews mention that but having just worn another Rails flannel in XS, I expected this to fit the same. Nope. The color combos are great though and like other Rails flannels, it's incredibly soft.

Look forward to renting again
It has been about a year since I rented this dress, and remembering the compliments, I was looking to rent again for a work function. Unfortunately, it's not available right now, and for good reason. It's a great dress. The plunging neckline dips a little low, but I found the ties to provide sufficient modesty. I styled it in monotone with grey tights and grey zebra print Rothy's.

Great movement
The bust darts were the only disappointment with this dress. They were oddly placed, low on my bust, and I would normally chalk that up to being petite, but the waist and other areas fit well. If I had another option, I would have chosen not to wear this dress, but the other item in my Update order that I'd added as a backup for this event did not fit at all. However, others either didn't notice the fit issue or were too polite, as I received a number of compliments. It was great for a casual fall wedding and was fun to dance in.

Since I'm petite, jumpsuits are a gamble, and I added this to my order thinking it likely wouldn't fit. However, it actually did fit in all the areas I expected to be problems. The shoulders, length of pants, waist and crotch all fell in the right place. The problem was that once the zipper reached my rib cage, there was no movement. Although I wish I had sized up to the small, likely another area would then become an issue.

Everyone's encouraging me to keep it!
The first time I wore this skirt was to work and everyone was urging me to keep it. While it's tempting, to make this Tory Burch skirt a permanent part of my wardrobe, even with RTR's discount for subscribers, it's not quite affordable, but I have worn it twice more before parting with it. Although the tan trim on this skirt made me hesitate about pairing it with black, I've worn it with black tights and black Sam Edelman riding boots. A simple turtleneck lets the skirt stand out as the great statement piece it is. I wore it again today for our Christmas card photos, so hopefully I'll have images to add to this review soon.
