A wee bit short-- but stylish and comfortable
I wore this dress twice-- once on a date with black flats and a leather jacket and also to work with opaque tights and OTK black suede boots. Complements galore and VERY confortable. It is, however, a little bit short-- I'm only 5'5. Taller ladies may have a hard time pulling this off without showing too much. I would definitely rent this again.

Effortless and gorgeous-- like dressy pajamas!
I LOVED these pants. Wore them to dinner and the theater on an unseasonably warm evening. Paired with heels, a black silk tank and a tuxedo jacket. I'm 5' 5 and the pants came to about ankle length. These are dress-up/dress-down three season perfection.

Effortless, forgiving, and lovely.
I love this dress! I rented with the necklace that was pictured for a wedding full of people I've never met. I got many compliments on the dress-- mostly from men, who rarely notice anything ;) I've since worn it in the other colors as well, though this bright blue remains my favorite. I'm dirty blonde with darker skin, but I think it would flatter any skin tone/hair color. The blue is exactly as pictured and the fit seems to simultaneously add shape AND disguise flaws. The fabric is a bit heavy, but I would still consider this an all-season dress. You really can't go wrong-- rent immediately!

Loved this dress!
I absolutely loved wearing this dress and if it were more versatile would consider buying it. Other reviewers are correct that it runs short and a bit large--I'm 5'5 and though the 4 fit and was cute short with my arms at my sides, it was indecent short with my arms over my head. I ended up wearing the larger size (a 6) to gain some extra length. The dress was a bit warm, which leads me to the only downside: the dress totally smelled like BO. I febreezed it and hoped for the best.

OMG, SO SHORT!
I so should have listened to the other reviews. This dress is SHORT SHORT SHORT! To be fair, RTR didn't have my usual size, so I rolled the dice with a size smaller. But I don't think sizing up would have solved the problem. I'm only 5'5 and you could absolutely see my butt cheeks when I stood. When I bent over.... forget it! So sadly, I wasn't able to wear this dress which is too bad because it was a beautiful color and a nice fabric. If you're shorter and very straight and narrow, this may work for you, but I definitely wouldn't wear it to a wedding or any other event where there might be grandmas present!

Easy to wear, comfortable and elegant.
I rented this dress to an inaugural ball, and unfortunately I booked late and unfortunately black tie dresses left in my size were somewhat limited. The good: This dress is a dressy jersey material so it's insanely comfortable and forgiving-- I'd say it's a good choice for those whose weight fluctuates or aren't sure what size they wear in a given designer dress. The ruffled texture dressed it up a bit and added some visual interest and the ruching at the waist was insanely slimming. The length was also good. I'm 5'5 and I wore flats to navigate the DC street closures. It dragged a bit, but with heels it would have been perfect. The plunging neckline was sexy but tasteful, without being over the top (that said, I have a modest bust-- 34B-- so I didn't need a bra. I think on larger busted girls the look is totally different. That's evident from some of the reviews here). This leads me to the not so good... The less good: I got the feeling that this dress had been rented a lot. There were some minor pulls in the material, which were not really noticeable. More importantly, the bust was *totally* stretched out. I think some of my better endowed sisters had rented this dress and permanently stretched the top. I had to use a ton of fashion tape AND a padded cup AND chicken cutlets to get the top to even remotely work. And the cups of the dress still puckered and gaped like a bra that was too big. Fortunately because the dress was black it was only noticeable, but I was self conscious about it, especially since the neckline really does make the dress. Overall this dress was exactly as represented and worked well for the event-- I wouldn't say it's a show stopper by any means and definitely blended into a sea of black dresses. That said, it's a flattering choice that's overall easy to wear, but may require some tinkering depending on who wore the dress before you.

I wasn't sure what to wear to a rehearsal dinner, and chose this dress because I thought it would be easy to dress up or dress down. It did not disappoint! I wore it with black patent pumps and black chunky jewelry and got many compliments (my manfriend in particular loved this dress- it's sexy but understated). The color is GORGEOUS, especially if you're dark skinned or sporting a bit of a tan. I'm usually a 4 or a 6, but I had to go with my backup size-- an 8-- in this dress to accommodate my backside, but it was a little big on the top (I'm a B cup). I rigged it up with a little double sided tape, but just be forewarned if you're bigger on the bottom then you are on the top.
