I wore this to a black tie optional event and it was perfect, very elegant and understated. The fit was a little big - I would have worn a 0 if it was on offer - but would probably fit well if you have boobs. The fabric does not have a ton of give but it's such a forgiving cut that you could get away with it being tight across the midsection and not look bad. I ended up using some boob tape to try to get a slightly more tapered look up top. I wear 26/27 pants depending on the brand and usually an XS up top, for reference.

This dress would probably look great on someone tall with the right boobs and hips to fill it out. I didn't end up wearing it because there was too much fabric in the stomach, chest and butt area (which was surprising cause I have a butt), and it just didn't look right. But the fabric and cut around the neck is pretty cool, so if you can fill it well it'd probably look great. Definitely choose a size down for your primary or backup size.

I didn't end up wearing the dress because it was too big around my chest and I was worried I'd be pulling it up all evening. I'm a 32C, about 122 lbs right now, and got the size 2R, and even with a padded bra it didn't stay up well enough for a dance floor. (I probably would have worn it if I'd just been sitting down all evening.) The rest of the dress was fitted on me. Really lovely otherwise! I'm sorry it didn't work out.
