So I did something that seems logically quite wrong, but my gut told me it would work so I went for it. I paired a yellow earring with a purple gown... The occasion was a college formal in the prettiest part of Spring and the dress was strapless ombre from a very pale violet at the top to a darker violet at the bottom. So the earrings looked really fresh and different. When they first arrived with the dress I wasn't sure that I was going to wear them because they looked a little bit cheaper than I imagined and almost light green in color in certain lighting. Also the back had a lot of gold so it kind of looked like costume jewelry. I had trouble finding another pair did the job, and ultimately after trying several with the gown they completed the look nicely. I would recommend them, but caution that they look a little bit different in person. Great if worn with a hairstyle that kind of covers the golden back.

As other reviews stated the corset is very tight which is good because it keeps the dress from falling, but make sure to go with your size and the next size up as a backup. I wore heals and the 4 Long and it was a little too long, but I liked the drapey look it created. Also the ombre is super subtle but the color of the dress is still gorgeous and not as pink as it looks in some of the pictures. Overall such a perfect gown, I loved it.
