I had hoped to wear a regular bra with this but found it would have shown through the lace. I wore a strapless instead but I really didn't need it; the built-it bra is well constructed and supports better than I expected. The lace is comfortable. Like other reviewers I did find it a little long in the shoulders for me, but it didn't slip out of place. Great for dancing, great for fun splash of color.

I'm well endowed and have always avoided plunging can't-wear-a-bra dresses as a matter of course. But to wear this dress I took a leap and used duct tape to hold the girls fast and enjoy the plunge. I didn't need any fashion tape; I filled out the top nicely and the duct tape kept me comfortably dancing all night. I put a pin in the neck to shorten up the halter (and overall length) since I'm short and the dress is better for someone taller. I feel like the overall length balances out the plunge for an overall classy look. It was very elegant for an evening wedding and fun without being garish.

Wore this to a wedding on Friday and had my baby the following Tuesday. 37 1/2 weeks pregnant. Keep in mind for late pregnancy it will not fit the same as on the model. My belly truncated the waist of the dress and made it fit like an empire waist but the length can compensate. A solid pick and I got plenty of compliments on it and how well it looked so late in pregnancy.

I have NEVER, never, received so many compliments. Both my husband and I were getting them all night! This dress is _tight_ (brand new, in no way stretched out) but it tucks everything in and is very flattering. The color gradation is darkest at the middle, which reinforces the look of a tiny waist. The zip runs the full back has two tabs so you can adjust the tightness at the bottom. I'm short, so the dress was well over the knee and I unzippered the bottom to about knee length. It made stairs easier. I joked all night it was like wearing a thighmaster because the dress material resists when you spread your legs apart (when climbing stairs especially); so it will enforce prim and proper behavior! Needless to say, it was a huge hit, gorgeous and a lot of fun to wear. I got this dress because my original order, the Herve Yacht Cruiser was not available. Valerie was a gem in Customer Service making sure I was happy with my alt pick. I was very, very happy!

I rented this and a dress for an all-weekend Indian wedding and I wore it all weekend. It was comfortable and a nice accent to everything I wore. I wore this dress two nights back to back. The first was anniversary dinner with my husband, who LOVED this dress. It does hug hips and curves and that is definitely something that defines his style! I wore it again the next night to a professional function. I stood out in red and got quite a few compliments in that environment. I did notice the material felt loose and a bit slack through the stomach as others commented. CLearly, no one else cared or noticed but me. I would not wear again for that, but I was very happy with the dress nonetheless and its two night engagement went very well.

Loved the color and the shape of this dress. I was a little nervous when I first put it on because while the body fit perfectly the straps were a little loose. I loved this dress. I'm usually somewhere between a 4 and a 6 but the was no question here. 4 it is! Fit very well and very comfortable. I tend to get cold easily, but the lace sleeves and the sheath were thick enough that I wasn't cold at a Jan wedding with snow on the ground. Solid construction; I would totally rent this again if the occasion ever arose.

An enjoyable dress to wear. I got several compliments at my friends' engagement party wearing this dress with black textured stockings and several long layer necklaces like in the RTR picture. I'm an hourglass figure and this dress is not cut to show off my shape, which meant it was not a popular pick with my husband, but the spangles were fun and perfect for a "speakeasy" theme. Definitely cut for a more lean and leggy figure, but still fun & flattering to a petite hourglass.

I rented this dress for a Sunday, Jewish, Mid-Afternoon Black Tie optional wedding that had me clueless as to what to wear. This was a great fit, felt great (I still wore a strapless bra though) and stayed put all afternoon and into the evening.
