I absolutely love this dress! It fit like a dream, it felt great on, and it looked fantastic. Do note that the front and back panels are sheer. I'm pretty small chested - 32D - and wore it without anything underneath. The dress is constructed in such a way that I never felt like I was going to fall out or show too much - but a larger chested woman or in a larger size might feel differently. The skirt is also a little short - or it was on me. I'm about 5'6", and it came to about mid-thigh. Easily my favorite rental, and if I had more occasion to wear it, I absolutely would've bought it.

This skirt is a heavyweight canvas, and has cute detailing like ivory/shell buttons. The fit was larger than I expected - I normally wear a 0 or 00 in J. Crew and this skirt was slipping down all day (even with a shirt tucked in and tights underneath). This dress is pretty TTS for Free People; I normally wear a 0, and the 0 fit fine. The deep v is VERY deep - so if you're busty, modest or both, plan accordingly. I'm fairly small chested, so I didn't need to wear a bra underneath - the lining/material is thick enough to not be sheer - but the cut of the dress flattened me out completely. The sleeves are cute, but I have broad shoulders - so I looked a bit like a linebacker. Glad I tried it, and it was cute, but it never made it out of the house.

That was the response I got when I tried this on and showed my husband. It is super soft, comfortable and if it fit, might've worked out better. I'm a fairly solid size 0 / XS, sometimes 00 / XXS and this dress was way too big on me. Great for warmer weather and casual stuff, not what I said was hoping for.
