Easy to dance in, not inhibiting the arms or legs.
At a goo length for me (5'8) that I could wear my flats. I actually don't know if this is "true to size" as I rarely wear clothing that doesn't have give or is so form fitting. But the 12 was pretty snug around my torso, it's a good thing I don't have much of a bust. I'm a size 10 in Lululemon, for comparison. The color was beautiful, and the texture was nice, not a smooth satin.

Love anything that shows off the back.
I'm not proportional between my upper and lower body. So for the dress to fit my butt and thighs, I really could have used some fashion tape to tack the top in place.
