This was my second time renting a Saylor dress, and they are consistently either tight in the hips or baggy in the chest. I don't have this problem with other dresses, so I think it is a Saylor thing and not a "my body sucks" thing. I sized up for this event because 1) the dress is super short and the medium felt safer for the dance floor and 2) other reviewers are right about the itch factor, and the looser neckline was less itchy. You don't need much in the way of accessories, just red lips.

I wore this to a Christmas party where there was a lot of black and red dresses. The evergreen color was a fun alternative. Sizing was weird at first - the small was tight in the stomach and hips, and the medium made it obvious I don't have a lot of boobs, and that made the lace back kind of loose and saggy. But the small stretched out after wearing it for a few minutes and then it fit fine. The length was perfect. Styling it was hard- I must have tried on every pair of shoes I own with this and none of them looked great. If I rent this again it will be for a more casual event.

My normal size (2) wasn't available, but the 0 fit fine. (The 4 may have worked, but I was worried about a wardrobe malfunction.) Unfortunately, both dresses were completely missing the mesh panel in the back. In fact, it looked as though the dresses had been professionally altered to stop the zipper at the waist. In reading the other reviews, this seems common, so don't rent this expecting to have the back mesh present! I figured this was better than having the front mesh missing. The scallop-y lace pieces were sticking out in crazy directions, so I had to very carefully iron them down without letting the iron touch the mesh and it took forever, so be prepared for some prep time before wearing. Once I was in it, it was very comfortable, and everything stayed where it belonged, even without a bra. My husband says to add that this dress was hot.

This dress was perfect for our Christmas party, and the small fit like it was custom made for me, though maybe a little longer than I'm used to. Other reviewers complained about the neck being tight and the lace being scratchy, but I didn't have either of those problems. I was able to dance and eat (and drink) comfortably. Thank you to whoever designed this dress, because it was amazing.
