I wore this to 2 Christmas house parties that were on the casual side of cocktail attire. This is a very lightweight jumpsuit and would have been quite casual other than the fun bow. I struggle with jumpsuits b/c I have a long torso, but this one worked out ok. I wanted the elastic waistband to sit higher on me so that the blousing effect would help camouflage my midsection, but that made the rise a bit too short for me. With a 30G bust, I was surprised that the M was fairly large in the bust section, though that could have been from being stretched out.

I'm 5'6", 140 lbs, 30G bust, with a pear/hourglassish shape. I usually wear sizes 4-6 and I could barely get the 6 on. At my height it was closer to ankle length, which made the look more formal IMO. It definitely required shapewear, and I could not bend easily in it. As a sheath, there was no stretch and it was tough to get over my hips/butt. Once on, it was quite snug but comfortable and looked great. If you are larger in the bottom half you definitely want to size up. Overall, it was a beautiful dress for a work holiday party and I received many compliments.

i am 5'6", 125lbs, wear a 28E, waist 26", hips 37" and i wore a 4R. the dress was form fitting but not tight. it was a bit loose in my waist and at the bottom of the cutout on the back of the dress. overall though it fit fine, and i was very comfortable at the tartan ball. would recommend for pear or hourglass shapes.
