Cute dress, received many compliments!
Pros- received compliments, people commented that I must have been so comfortable in it, the flap thingy and black color helped hide my trouble-spot tummy. I personally didn't wear a bra with it (a pro for me!) because it was tight enough to feel supported and the flap sort of hid my bra-less boobs. Cons - It is snug! And it wasn't that comfortable! I had to keep it unzipped to get my shoes on- lol! I have a tough time really knowing what size I am these days, usually a 6. I read other reviews that said they all pretty much wore their backup size, and sure enough, I wore the 8 - and it was still holding me in really tight! Overall - Cute dress, people complimented me, but I felt a little squeezed in all night.

Great party dress
Perfect dress for rent the runway because I'm not sure I'd wear a sparkly dress more than once! With a more "athletic build"--bigger hips and thighs for my size--I can go between a 4 and 6, and the 4 fit great. It wasn't too tight either (and I didn't want something super fitted), but judging by the model I was worried it would be shapeless and I don't think it was. If you want a more snug fit, then I'd probably order down a size. I don't think I remember it having much stretch though.

I wanted to like it
I really wanted to like the dress, and read the other reviews that it ran small and didn't have any stretch in the fabric, so I knew it was a risk ordering it. Ordered up with a 6 and the 8. 6 didn't fit over my hips, and the 8 fit but was quite snug. It was pretty so I won't give it 1 star, but I was already up 2 sizes from what I normally wear. It fit, I was in it, but I just felt too self conscious with how much it clung to my stomach and was worried I wouldn't breathe all night. My husband thought it looked great-- I wanted this dress to feel sexy for an evening wedding, and I really just felt too self-conscious and didn't wear it. Maybe if I went up to a 10 it would have fit me how I wanted it to fit, but it was too late at that point.
