Sigh. I hate to write a negative review but alas, I must. The picture I posted is the best picture I had, and it actualy makes the dress look decent. But do not be fooled. I think I deleted all the other ones but if I find them I'll post them later so you can see. Anyway, I rented this dress for an outdoor summer wedding in Central Park. I was super excited about this dress because of the bright color and the asymmetrical skirt. And my excitement did not fade when I saw it in person (on the hanger). The green is a perfect kelly green color. The outer material is silky without being too shiny. It was perfect. However when I put it on I couldn't even get on the 4. The dress has an inner lining which is ridiculously, unnecessarily tight in the hips. Also I think I have pretty average hips. Not huge. It seriously doesn't even make sense. So I ended up wearing the size 6.... which even that I could barely get on. And then it was somewhat baggy in the waist so it was just completely unflattering. I don' think I can explain enough how uncomfortable this dress was. I only wore it because I had NOTHING else to wear. It was so tight I could barely walk in it, let alone dance or sit down. Then on top of that, because it was tight in the boobs and hips, but not in the waist, it wasn't flattering and made me look fatter than I am. Ew. Other negatives: it was very shot and I'm 5'3." It was fine for me because I wanted something short but just be aware. Also the outside material is thick PLUS it has the super tight lining so it was actually a very heavy dress. This could be a good thing... but the wedding I wore it to just happened to be outside during a 105 degree day and I was DYING. The material doesn't breathe at all. Part of the reason I picked this dress is because I thought it would be cool and comfortable. NOT the case. So in summary, clearly I would never rent this dress again. And unless you have NO hips DO NOT get this dress or you will be disappointed.

I love spanx. I have many different styles of their slimming underwear. These are great because of the high waist band and the gusset in the crotch is great for going to the bathroom with tight dresses on. The only issue with these is the shorts part is kind of long. I usually fold them up a bit if I'm wearing a short dress, but then they can bunch up and be uncomfortable. Also if you're wearing a dress thats tight in the thigh then you would see the bunching up so thats not ok either. Anyway... overall Spanx make great products and definitely make you look better in clothes, regardless of your body type. I recommend this product highly.

The pattern on this dress is super modern and super flattering! My only issue with the dress was that it had had vertical seams in the front, and where they ended they stuck out! And they ended basically right where my nipples would be and it really looked like my nipples were sticking out. (see middle picture) I'm pretty busty (32ddd), so I'm not sure if it was just my body type that made it look like that, but it was bad enough that I wouldn't want to wear this dress in public... which is so disappointing because otherwise the dress is so cute! The colorblocking pattern is gorgeous. I would say the cut and fit of this dress make it appropriate to wear on a dinner date or maybe even to work (depending on where you work). It could probably be dressed up to wear to a wedding as well. Also I would say the dress runs true to size. Im currently between a 4 and a 6, 42 fit well but was a little too loose in the waist. I'm 5,3" and it hit right below my knees.

Loved the color of this dress! Perfect for spring! Also this dress is so versatile! The fit and the full length back zipper make it sexy enough to wear out on a dinner date. Yet the cut and the length make it conservative enough to wear to work. It could also be dressed up to wear to a spring wedding. In the picture I paired it with a black blazer to show a way to potentially wear it to work. I would say the dress ran true to size I usually wear a 4, and although the 40 was a little tight on me, I blame that on some recent weight gain, not the dress running small. I highly recommend this to dress to everyone for almost any occasion! Its great!

This dress is beautiful! Its super tight and super stretchy so it definitely shows off all of your curves. Of course this could be a good or a bad thing depending on your body type. If you have a less curvy body type I would say this dress could be great for work or formal business attire. If you're more curvy (like me - see pic) then I would say you could still get away with wearing it to a business-type affair but maybe with a blazer over it. Or if you wanna be super sexy then forget the blazer. Also if you have the "I really need to get to the gym" body-type I would stay away from this dress. It runs small and shows EVERYTHING so it will show every roll and imperfection. The length of this dress makes it appropriate to wear to a more for formal occasion as well but because its so tight it really blurs the line between too conservative and too sexy.

So I ordered this dress in a 40R and a 42L. The 40R was a good length for someone 5'3" wearing like 4 inch heels. I would say it was like a typical size 4 dress. I'm normally a 4, but I had a recent weight gain before this event and the 4 fit but was tight so I went a size up (the 42L). This dress was a little loose in the waist but overall fit better than the four. The longer length though was a little too long for me. I had on 6 inch stilettos and it was still draping on the floor more than I would have liked. Luckily the slit in the front makes it easy to walk in even if its a little too long. Both of the sizes were a little tight in the breasts and both showed a lot of cleavage, so this dress is definitely not conservative looking if you have large breasts.

The dress is great, but as many of the other Herve Leger dresses have said the fit can vary. I wore a size small, which is what I usually wear when I rent Herve Leger from RTR, however this time is was especially tight. It came with the tags still on so it clearly had never been worn before. I have 32DDD breasts and it was beyond tight. It was tighter than any sports bra I've ever owned, and it definitely made me look flat (at least compared to usual). That being said, I got a lot of compliments on the dress. It's sexy without being too sexy, and as a busty woman that's always a problem for me. Just know it might be super tight if its a new dress.

Great dress however, I am very busty (32DDD) and definitely had towear a bandeau top under the dress cause otherwise my boobs would have been popping out of the keyhole. Otherwise it was great! Got a ton of compliments! I added a pic of it without the bandeau top so you can compare. It's pretty scary.

The dress maybe runs a little large? I was closer to a size six when I ordered this dress and I ended up wearing the size 4. I loved the dress! Tight in the butt and very drapey up top. Very flattering! Also, I love how its simple and elegant but has that exciting sequin detail. Makes the dress very versatile! Its also perfect for ladies with a larger bust which I don't say for many dresses. The color makes it perfect to wear in the fall, especially with black tights, but the lightweight silk material also makes it ideal for a summer night out (with no tights). Love this dress! Update: I ended up loving this dress so much that I eventually found it on sale and bought it! I highly recommend this dress

Wore this to a med school formal and I looked super hot. I'm 5'3" and a size 4ish but I'm a 32DDD chest. I wore a size small. The dress fit well but the sweetheart neckline was struggling to cover my boobs. The length was perfect for a formal event, but if you're big chested you might want to rethink it. I mean, my boyfriend liked it but I'm not sure if everyone else did.
