Effortless elegance
SO comfortable, and the perfect style for an 'elegant barn' wedding on an unseasonably warm Sept evening. Subtle gold threads within the lace. I'm 5'6 and wore 3" heels with the regular length. Definitely dips down low in the front but it worked fine with a stick-on bra. The medium was a much better fit for minimizing the cleavage.

Quilted winter fun!
If you are well-endowed up top, beware!! The V goes all the way down to the empire waist and leaves plenty of room for a potential 'wardrobe malfunction!' The cleavage could be fine for certain events, but as I was going to a house party with friends I elected to wear a black camisole underneath. The fabric is thick and pretty, perfect for winter events- although there were a few noticeable pulls in the embroidery on the front panel of the skirt that bothered me. Also not a great dancing dress since the structure of the upper panel made it hard to lift up my arms very far.

Gorgeous color, comfortable fit!
Excuse the face- I was looking into the sun! This dress has is comfortable, easy to wear, and a perfect hot-pink that will make YOU the pop of color at an event. The waistline dips down in the front which does draw some attention to the belly region, but nothing too crazy. The lace is beautiful and the slight flare of the skirt is so much fun for dancing!

Too much dress for my event
Consistent with other reviews; the sleeves run small; and I've never been comfortable in dresses that dont let me move. The skirt came to just above my knee with plenty of extra fabric, and between that, the neck, and the sleeves it was just too much dress for my event. If you're looking for something modest in a beautiful fabric- give it a try!

Classic fit, impressive fabric, fun color
I rented this for an anniversary dinner for my boyfriend's rugby club and I absolutely loved it! I had been hesitant initially due to the open back (I'm actually a 30DDD so no bra is NOT an option) but the top of the dress is really well built so with the help of a stick-on strapless I was perfectly comfortable. Bonus points for well- concealed pockets that don't add any bulk to your hips. However, that being said, this is not a dress for ladies larger up top who are not comfortable with cleavage. I noticed right away that fraying of the lace at the neckline (and the chipped paint on the zipper) were giving away the "rental" factor of the dress, but I'm not sure it's anything anyone else would see. I got tons of complements on the color and the lace overall is really beautiful.

Perfect birthday party dress..even on a snowy night in January!
Shoshanna is a go-to brand for me and this dress was no exception. Classic fit, enough room in the chest, and pockets! Who doesn't love pockets in a party dress. SLIGHT criticisms: The lace at the neckline is starting to show it's age (though I mentioned that to one of my party guests, who swore she never would have noticed if I hadn't brought it up) and the skirt is slightly tapered coming into the knee, which means if you're curvy girl like me there can be a bit of a "poof" effect across the hips/belly depending on how you stand. Overall though, its a gorgeous dress!

Elegant and fun!
Sturdy, sparkly, and just big enough for keys/wallet/phone/lip gloss! Love the jewel detain at the clasp and the woven detail. I could do without the external brand emblem label on the opposite side (not shown in the picture) advertising the brand, but I just kept that side of the bag against my palm.

If you want to feel pretty in pink...
Wore this dress to a summer "hippie wedding," and it was the perfect combination of fun and dressy. Really comfortable, although the fabric is more substantial than a typical warm-weather dress. The pink is really vibrant in person. I'd definitely rent it again!

Perfectly tailored!
I rented this dress for New Year's Eve and it was perfect! It's a very dark blue (almost black) heavy material that's perfect for winter. Pockets are a huge bonus. I wore it with red pumps to a 'Mad Men' party and it was a hit! I did end up wearing a strapless bra but could have gone without thanks of the structure and the fact that it's meant to fit tighter through the top. The straps are a tiny bit long, but that's a common problem for me and I didn't need to pin them or anything. Probably a little too much cleavage for a conservative or super-formal event, but a perfect fun party dress. I was comfortable and confident: SO sad to have to send it back!

Straps are long!
The print is really cute, and the fit is flattering. However, I have a shorter torso and the straps were too long. In order to extend the straps and keep them in place on my shoulders without tape or pins would have meant the dress was sitting very low...inappropriate cleavage low. If I owned the dress and felt comfortable stitching or pinning the straps I probably could have made it work. Too bad!

Love, love, loooove this dress. Great if you have a larger chest and you don't want to spend your whole event battling gravity with a strapless dress. The material is thicker, almost like grosgrain ribbon, and there are curved seams at the top of the dress that accentuate curves. The skirt is a little short and has a slight bubble effect, but it works great if you've got an hourglass figure. Plus, it has pockets! I wore the dress with super high gold glitter pumps and got tons of complements on the whole outfit. I'd definitely recommend this dress if you want to be comfortable and look great!
