This color is amazing and the dress could work for any event. Nice shine to the fabric and it drapes well. The belt is made of so much gathered fabric that it's really heavy and pulls down in a sad way vs staying up. The slit/wrap opening is a consideration. Pin it or tape it. Neckline is deep so again maybe pin or tape. Arms were really long on me so I would have folded them but they also look good rolled and pushed up! Measurements in pic: 31in waist, 38 bust, 41 hip.

This looked terrible on me. The cool casual drapey fit I'd hoped for ended up looking sloppy. The top is open, just wide open, so I would have had to use a pin and maybe also tape. I didn't see a belt so I would have had to find one or buy one to work with this as exposing the elastic waist isn't an option. Hard pass all around at this juncture! This was comfortable but too revealing for me in the tummy area so I returned it after trying it on. Smooth fabric, nice silhouette but I would have had to pin it or it would just be open. I ordered a 12 worried that it would run small but i should have gotten a 10. Couldn't wear it due to it being so big. The 12 was about 2 inches too big in the waist and hips, which never happens to me. Comfy lace, pretty details, conservative but still interesting. Lined and thick enough to conceal any issues! I'm 5'5" and built like a square at the moment so this did not work for me. The waist hit me at a weird spot and the heavy skirt fabric pulled down so it couldn't have been less flattering. Large size fit fine, comfy fabric with a nice sparkle for an understated look, just didn't flatter me. Waist in photo is 31, hips 40, bust 38.

I was a slim 132lbs when I wore this to a holiday party pre-baby. Both the 4 and 6 fit great but I went with the 6 to dance and be comfy. This cut is super flattering for smaller chests and also gives you a waist if, like me, you're less curvy in that area. The skirt was a nice length on me and the fabric is AWESOME. It's like thick scuba fabric that holds you nicely.

This dress is beyond beautiful. It's STUNNING. I am a little heavier right now so I ordered the M and L and the L fit best because I'm built straight up and down at the waist. The top was a little big but not bad. I used double sided tape to keep the straps in place. The skirt is AMAZING. There are sequins on the embroidered flowers that sparkle in the light. The bottom of the skirt has a wired edge that keeps its shape! I'm 5'5" and the skirt barely hit the floor with no shoes on.

This dress would be best for people who have a defined waist. I am built without that definition and, while I'm only 5'5" the waist hit me 2 inches above my belly button which made me look like spongebob squarepants. :/ On the bright side, the material is very stretchy and comfy. The skirt flows nicely, the slit isn't too high- how rare is that?! The fuller skirt is great for hiding any trouble areas and allowing you to live your life without shapewear. I wish it had worked for me!
