Would I wear this again? Probably. Would it be my first choice? Probably not. The velour/velvet is unforgiving, so I wore spanx, but I did get compliments all night at the 70s themed black tie event. When people touched it they remarked how soft it was! The buttons at the neck are pretty, but I did have to get my boyfriend to button me in and out of it. I'm 5'5 and wore 3 inch heels and the length was perfect. You could absolutely do a low heel - as when I was barefoot the dress just barely covered my toes.

As someone who is 5'5, this dress was not it. It hit at an awkward length. Even if it had fit properly everywhere else, I would not have worn this as it hit at a weird point in my leg and even with heels I did not find it flattering.

This dress was super comfy. Perfect for a black-tie optional event! Fit like a glove. Definitely recommend spanx/shapewear as it hugs close to the body. I wore 3-inch heels which was perfect with my height. Definitely recommend your highest (or at least higher) heels if you are 5'5 give/or take for this dress.
