My daughter is 6'1" and it is hard to find cute dresses that are long enough. She normally wears a size 10, but she fit the size 6 in this style, so yes it does run large. The length was great (with flats) and the material is very nice--sturdy and rich feeling, not flimsy like so many "teen" styles can be. All around a great dress for her!
