I rented this for a friend's birthday party night out. It is so comfortable! I ordered both the M and L and honestly I probably could've worn the M and been sucking it in all night but I wore the L and felt confident and comfortable. (For comparison I'm generally an 8). Got so many compliments, even my friends were like "how much is it to buy the dress, it was made for you!"

I typically wear an 8 (sometimes a 10) in dresses from RTR (for reference I'm 5'4", 145lb, size 34DD). Thankfully I read the reviews on how large this dress runs and ordered a 4 and a 6. The 4 fit like an absolute dream! The backside pleats are a beautiful little detail on an otherwise pretty simple red dress. Would rent again!
