This dress was my first choice for our annual black tie event, and I really loved it. It was a tad snug (I usually wear an 8) but I could have gotten away with it. The front isn't cut too high and the white edging is really elegant. I absolutely would have worn it, but I just loved my second-choice dress and went with that one instead. I ordered this dress for our favorite event of the year, the North American International Auto Show Charity Preview. It was actually my second choice but the minute I tried it on, I knew it was the one. The color is a dramatic true red. The fabric is gorgeous and hangs beautifully. The fit was very comfortable and the length was just right with three-inch heels. My only slight concern was that the sleeves might be confining, but I never even noticed that all night long. I got tons of compliments, and someone even told me it was the prettiest dress there. This may have been my favorite Rent the Runway dress so far!

I felt like a billion bucks! Loved this dress. I was confused and a bit nervous after reading all of the reviews, because I wasn't sure what to expect and didn't have a backup plan. I did have to go a size up from my usual size, and I wouldn't have minded a bit more length and would probably go with the long rather than regular length if I could do it again. But it didn't matter that much because of the wrap-around style and short skirt in front. I wore edgy, lace-up shoes with my hair loose and bouncy to balance it all out. It definitely has a gunmetal shimmer and works well with dark silvery accessories. And at an event with 10,000 people, I never saw anyone else with the same dress on so I was happy about that. My only complaint is that it doesn't have any stretch, so it's a bit confining. But overall, I loved it and would absolutely recommend it for any black tie affair!

I rented this dress for a Christmas gala, and it's the first time I ended up not wearing something I rented from Rent the Runway. I typically wear an 8, but because many gowns seem to run small, I always order a 10 as a backup size. But in this dress, I couldn't even get the 8 over my head, and while I was able to get the 10 on, it was extremely tight and unflattering. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't find the fit or fabric to be forgiving at all. When my husband told me I looked "uncomfortable," I decided to skip it and wear a dress from my closet instead. It's a pretty dress but did not work for me.

This was the sixth year in a row my husband and I have attended the NAIAS Charity Preview, and by far this was the best dress I've ever worn. It was gorgeous and flattering, and fit beautifully. As a bonus, it was even quite comfortable. It was long, but worked well with a 4" heel. I wore a strapless bra with adhesive sides which was perfect. I got compliments all night long!

I really wish I'd gotten a full-length picture of me wearing this dress. I usually wear an 8 but have found that formal gowns tend to run small, so I ordered the 8R and 10R, and ended up wearing the 10. The 8 was too tight to zip and also short - I would have had to wear flats with it. The other thing I noticed about the 8 was that the white top was a bit dingy, like it had been dry cleaned too many times. The 10 fit perfectly and looked really nice on, and I got tons of compliments. Plus, as many others have mentioned, the pockets are awesome! This was my first time renting a dress, and I will definitely turn to Rent the Runway for our next event.
