Different from what was pictured
The fabric is thick, stretchy, and slightly ribbed. And that part would have worked if there weren't other elements awry. The fit was too small (I had trouble zipping it up all the way), and too short. I'm 5'6 3/4" and the hem was about an inch above my ankle. Was super-excited about this dress but it disappointed.

hugged my curves
this is a beautifully intricate dress which may seem intimidating at first. however, once you put it on, you feel like royalty. it is forgiving, surprisingly comfortable and covers a multitude of sins, drawing the eye of the beholder to the gorgeous embroidery and fine detail. the unusual mix of red and pink serve to make you a standout in a crowd. make sure you wear a strapless bra because the back is a bit sheer in places. overall, this one's a stunner.

love this dress
i've worn this one in black, and my husband loves it, so thought i'd try the red one, too. gorgeous, slimming fit, and my only caution is that you'll have to regularly adjust the ruffles at the bottom. i didn't care - that was a small price to pay for such classic style!

Made his face light up!
this dress is stunning. however, i only gave it four stars because the top was so stretched out. my sister and sister-in-law had to wrestle my strapless bra into place with safety pins, causing my chest to look really flat. in our pictures, you could see the tug in the way the wrinkles pulled. definitely should have worn petals! however. the streamlined silhouette and the flow of the skirt were literally breathtaking. so much so, my husband wants me to buy the dress, i'm pondering it but absolutely wouldn't buy the one i was sent... still, a gorgeous dress. do yourself a favor and rent it.

While the color of this bag is beautiful and the leather supple and fairly thick, the size was a good deal smaller than I'd anticipated, and the straps seemed more flimsy than is my preference. I didn't use it and sent it back.

pictures simply cannot do this dress justice. i mean, i want to buy it. in both colors. besides fitting like a glove and hugging my curves - even the dip atop my derriere - in the most classy way, it was extremely comfortable, standing or sitting. the lace detail is stunning, although the ruffled hem has a tendency to curl up while one is walking. an easy fix, however, with the flick of a wrist. i will most definitely rent this again!
