This dress was surprisingly comfortable! I agree on sizing up one size. I have mostly worn size 6 when renting before and the 8 was very comfortable. I might have been able to squeeze into a 6 but it would have been too tight around my hips, but I do have a bit of junk in my trunk. I also agree on renting the long version if you're 5'6" or taller and planning to wear heels. I wore 3" heels and the length was *just* above the floor, very elegant. Lastly, there were a few areas of very mild wear--loose threads and missing sequins...but the dress is so detailed and busy (in a good way) that there's no way anyone would ever notice. I received compliments all night!

I almost went with the medium buy my husband much preferred the fit of the small--it was very curve hugging but flattering and very comfortable. The fabric is nice and stretchy and the lace detail hides imperfections well. Also loved that I could wear a regular bra. I received many compliments! Definitely recommend!
