Next time I'll rent the 2, and there will be a next time!
As another reviewer put it, this is a great dress but lacks the "wow!" factor, so reserve it for something where you want to look great but it's not necessarily "YOUR" night (birthday, shower, etc). In terms of size, I usually wear a 4 unless the top is tight and then I need a 6. I rented the 4 and 6, and wish I had the two. The 4 fit great on top but was a little loose in the midsection (I don't have wide hips at all, I wish it were more fitted here).

Very thick material. Focus on the pattern/seams in the middle before deciding on it.
I would be interested to try this in a six to see if it made a difference, but the cut was not flattering on my body type (large bust, small hips). Love the flare bottom though!

Great dress - was complimented by many strangers! Wish they had a six though..
Gosh, I wish they had this dress in a 6.. the 4 was just a touch too small/tight in the upper waist/bust.. and the 8 was just a touch too big/loose. The fitted look of the 4 was stunning, but my bust was just a big too big for it, as a six this would have been five (or six) star review! Luckily, this was not a dancing affair, just dinner and an award ceremony. I really liked the dress and will keep my eye on if they get a 6 back in stock!
