The dress doesn't actually run small, it is just a very short dress. I am a solid size 6 in most cases, but I'm 5'9" so I wore the 8 purely for length. It was much baggier on top than I would have liked as a result. But even that said, it is a great dress. The material is so expensive feeling and the cut is very flattering. I actually ordered this dress for a wedding weekend welcome party with the intention of dressing it down with boots. However, the formal dress I ordered for the actual wedding didn't work, so instead I dressed this one up. I paired it with the LIZZIE FORTUNATO TAHITIAN FLORAL PORT OF CALL CLUTCH and the OSCAR DE LA RENTA MIDNIGHT SHORT TASSEL EARRINGS. With statement pumps and a bold lip, I felt fancy enough in a room of more formal gowns. The dress is comfy and very easy to eat, drink and dance in.

I wanted to love this dress. I rented it for a more formal Vermont Fall wedding. The color and quality are beautiful. But it hit me in all the wrong places. I am a 4L or 6L in most full length dresses. While my frame is small, I have a lot of curves. The 6L fit perfectly, but it was just a very unflattering cut on me. Where the waist hit make me look like I had shelf hips. The zipper would NOT go up over the waist seam despite there being plenty of room. The main issue for me was the inability to wear a bra with the dress. The neckline of the dress is VERY low, possibly because I'm long torsoed. But a normal bra was totally visible. If you have nice perky boobs, or are small chested like the model then you could definitely pull this off. But it just looked sloppy on me. I was sad to have wasted my last Style Pack purchase on this one. If I hadn't been getting on an airplane to fly across the country the day it arrived, I would have tried contacting RTR to have a new style sent. I've heard they're great about that. I just didn't have the time.

If you are always on the hunt for the perfect floral maxi to wear to those destination summer weddings, this is that dress. You can look elegant without being overdressed. Very casually chic. I am usually between a size 4 and 6, and I ended up in the size 4L with this one. It fit me perfectly, but I will say that I have a very narrow rib cage (32) and the back clasp fit juuuuust right, if somewhat snug. So if you are wider in the ribs, keep that in mind. The low back is absolutely gorgeous. I have a large bust (DD) , which usually rules out backless gowns, but I ordered Braza Reveal Disposable Adhesive Bra from Amazon and they fit perfectly under this dress. At 5'9"+ the size 4L was just right in flats. Length-wise, I could have gotten away with heels, but decided to give myself a break.
