Rented this for a black-tie formal holiday party. I thought it was an interesting print, but the photos on the site don't do it the least bit of justice and the description isn't quite right. It's GOLD BROCADE with red and blue accents that give it a peacock effect. The dress was gorgeous and worked really well with my 'mommy body' without needing a lot of uncomfortable slimming/smoothing out garments underneath. I was comfortable all evening and received compliments all night. Was quite literally the 'belle of the ball'.

Wore this for a fancy dinner date. It was gorgeous and beautifully constructed with careful lining. I'm really big on the bottom and almost everything rides up since there's almost never enough room or give for my hips to move freely. And being smaller on top it's hard to find a good fit in the bust even with the right bra. This was no exception on the bottom so it did require some tugging down here and there to keep the skirt slit in place but the rest fit nicely through the waist and up top.

Stunning. But rode up. I don't think the larger version of this dress that I wore was intended for someone as curvy as me. It rode up so much that I wore shorts underneath to keep my rear covered. That said, all I needed to do was go from the car to the table and back so not much walking was needed and it looked fabulous. The top was really unique and I only wore simple geometric earrings and modern geometric wedge heels to go with the angle of the top of the dress. I used a strapless pushup bra but only because I'm a little smaller on top. This dress could easily be worn without a bra if you don't have a big chest. I brought a coat but didn't wear it because of the cape sleeve on the right and I didn't have a shawl to do it justice to pair it with. With outdoor dining only I was worried about being cold but ended up being fine.

Strapless for me is a guessing game. It might stay up, it might not. This one stayed up! There is a soft grippy band around the top of the dress to help it stay in place. The gathered front hid all kinds of lumpy sins, but it was really wearable with shape wear so that helped too. It was comfortable and I got stuck walking a little further than planned and it was comfortable for the trek. I paired it with a large statement antique amber necklace and black ankle boots with 4" heels. If I have an event that requires a lot of standing or walking this is aa great candidate to rent again since it's so easily wearable.

Wore the dress to a 'formal-ish' Sunday morning brunch and loved it. The dress was comfortable and breezy. It's so well constructed, a bra wasn't necessary for me. With the way the back and sides are cut, I wouldn't recommend it anyway. If I have a daytime spring/summer event anytime in the future, I'm for sure renting this one again.

Very comfy dress. It's a sweater dress so I could have sized down and still been okay. From a fashion stand-point it's tough to pull off if you're larger like me. Shapewear won't work with it because of the open back and a strapless bra only works as a stick-on to hide nipples and that's it so if you have any hesitancy about body confidence this might not be the right dress. That said, I'm really curvy and don't mind one bit. I liked how I looked and so did my date. I paired it with ankle height black boots with 4" heels and simple earrings. The neck-line was so striking, I didn't want to interrupt it with a necklace. I did have a little trouble tucking in the strings for the hanger since they're on the top of the shoulders but nothing a little tape didn't fix.

The dress was spectacular! It was my 2nd choice but being small on top and having wide hips, the mermaid skirt balanced out my silhouette much better than my 1st choice. The inner portion of the dress was very stretchy and the lace hid all the lumps. I was really surprised with how comfortable I was in the dress and literally partied until dawn! This dress was perfectly flattering and fabulously glamorous. If RtR has this one up for sale, I'll definitely snatch it up!

Beautiful dress and was my first choice but ended up not wearing it to the event. Being very small chested (and larger on the bottom), I was skeptical about it staying up, but it was well structured in the top. There was nothing at all wrong with this dress it's just my backup dress ended up flattering my figure better.
