Great funeral dress
I got the dress for a funeral and it served its purpose. Like other reviewers stated, it does not have a lot of give around the hip area, or I probably would have opted for the XS to better fit my bust.

Don't hesitate! Rent it. I usually wear a 2-4 so I ordered a 6 and 8. 6 was the fit that I preferred b/c the 8 bust area was a little too big. Remember it's British sizing, so you should automatically go up 2 sizes.

Pear shapes beware
I wasn't able to wear this. The 4 was too tight in the hips and fit ok on the chest area. The 6 was somewhat tight in the hips and huge in the chest area. It's such a cute dress in the photos, but I had to go with a different selection.

Conservative with a flair
I was skeptical because I thought the dress would be too informal for a gala, but it was lovely. It's conservative, but it was different. Because it's a thick linen, you will likely have to iron or steam it upon receipt and you will want to be careful when wearing because it wrinkles easily. That's really the only con. I usually wear a small or extra small in strapless dresses, especially if they are not fitted on the bottom, With this one, the M fit perfectly so I would say size up. Overall, a beautiful dress.
