Not for a petite frame
I really wanted to like and wear this dress. I am a size 14, but thought a size 16 would work with Black Halo. I am pear-shaped and it fit well except the sleeves where about 4 inches too long and there was a strange gap of material in the back between my waist and shoulders. I'm assuming this was fabric for a taller person. I don't think sizing down would have fixed the problem. If I were several inches taller, this would have been a five star for me. For reference, I am 5'3".

Beautiful Neck
I was surprised how well this dress fit. I am pear-shaped and normally have problems with the bottom being snug. This fit fabulous! The fabric was soft with black, white, red, and a little green pattern. The red and green colors didn't shout "Christmas", so this dress can be worn outside of the holidays. It was so comfortable and I received many compliments.

Beautiful, Classic Dress
I LOVED this dress and really wanted to wear it. It will hold everything in! It has stretch, but also maintains its shape and is supportive. I am a pear shape and it was too fitted for me to wear to work on the bottom.

Very Flattering
This was a very flattering, work appropriate dress. I sized up because of my pear shape and was glad I did so. I was afraid the top would be too large and it wasn't. No stretch to dress. Length was just below my knee. The front top of the dress has a hook and eye closure to make a keyhole look. I preferred it undone as the picture shows.

Most beautiful fabric and fit!
This blouse is nipped and tucked in just the right places to accent the waist. Sleeves are absolutely beautiful! They are gathered at the wrist so sleeve length isn't an issue. I normally wear a size 12 or 14 and sized up to an 18 because of previous reviews and was so happy I did. Size up and enjoy this fabulous blouse!

Beautiful Print
This dress is perfect for work. If you are looking for a suitable neckline and length for work, this is the dress. It isn't lined, but I was able to wear in Ohio winter with tights and boots. The print was beautiful and was very comfortable. I received many compliments. This dress worked well for my pear shape body. I could have sized down.

Would be great for a younger person.
I really wanted to love this dress, but it just wasn't for me. I was hoping it would be longer on me as I'm only 5'3", but it was still mid-thigh length and inappropriate for my work setting. The fabric wasn't as vibrant as I was hoping for either and the zipper catches on the lining when zipping up so be careful!

Very Fun and Comfortable
I rented this dress for work and it definitely fit the bill. The fabric was much more beautiful in person and the length and neckline were work appropriate. I'm shorter (5'3") and the dress hit JUST at the knee. I wore with blue knee boots and received so many compliments on the dress. I think it would be cute above the knee as well if you are taller. I wanted to keep this dress!

Beautiful Flowing Dress
The dress appears to be a midi length on the model, but on my 5' 2" body, it hit my ankles-more like a maxi dress. A maxi dress wasn't appropriate in 4 inches of snow.

Unflattering for pear shaped body.
I normally wear a size 12 in fit and flare dresses and this was no different. The top of the dress fit fabulous! It wasn't too low cut, too loose or snug. Sleeve fit and length were great for those who don't want to expose the upper arm. Not too snug or loose. Fit and flare normally works for my pear shaped body, but this was WAY to flared. The fabric was stiff and didn't touch my legs or behind. It almost looked like a costume with a hoop under the skirt. It might work well for a straight figure wanting the appearance of hips. It was a very comfortable dress, but unflattering on me. I should have listened to previous reviewers!

Very Dressy and Very Comfortable
I wasn’t sure this would work for me because of my pear shape but I was pleasantly surprised. I wore the XL and normally wear a size 12 (fit and flare) or a 14 for more fitted things. It’s a gamble on fitted dresses if the top of the dress will be too big but it worked. The neckline was very low cut for me, but I was still able to wear a bra. The dress is very heavy, thick, and lined so you can wear the dress without a bra as well. As others stated it is scratchy under the arms but it was minor compared to how nice the dress felt. There is some give but it’s heavy enough to hold everything in as well. Glad I rented this dress for a Mardi Gras Party!

Exactly what is pictured!
This dress fit exactly as I expected. The dress isn't lined and the fabric flows beautifully. The color is orange/red. I am pear shaped and was able to wear a size12 instead of my usual size 14 because it isn't fitted in the hips. I had a little more room than I wanted in the waist area, but that could have been because I am short waisted and the dress is made to accommodate a taller person. Without the extra fabric in the waist it would have accentuated my figure better. I am 5'3" and the dress fell about 3 inches above my ankle. I wore the dress with black boots as we had lots of snow and it was 12 degrees. The dress arrived in condition to be worn without any ironing necessary. I did need to use static guard because I had to wear a winter coat. I would definitely recommend for a work day or breezy outdoor lunch/dinner function.

Color was fabulous!
This is a great dress to show off a small waist. It is ideal for larger hips and smaller waist. Normally I wear a size 14, but was able to fit size 12 perfectly because of the full skirt. I wore this for a work holiday party during office hours. I am smaller on top (34C) and the fit was perfect. It wasn't low cut which I needed to be appropriate for work.

Very nice conservative special occasion dress.
This was a back up for my wear-to-work birthday rental. My first choice birthday rental dress (size 12) ended up fitting fine so I didn't end up wearing this dress as it was a little too formal for work. It arrived in fabulous condition, still with tags! I expected it to be a little large in the waist as most size 14's are for me, but it fit perfect. Loved the way it fit and felt! Just wished I had somewhere to wear it!

I upped my work fashionista status!
The dress fit exactly as Rent the Runway stated. I've added some weight lately - I'm 5'3" and 170 pounds and I was still able to wear the size 12 because the flare bottom. This dress works very well for a pear shape. I did however, have a strange, ever so small and unnoticeable gap between buttons on the front as others have noted. I didn't think it would be of significance being as I'm only a 34C. An additional button would have solved the problem. It wasn't enough to keep me from being comfortable in the dress. This is a great wear -to -work dress and I had many, many compliments (and I'm considered a fashionista already)!

I felt completely put together-effortlessly.
This dress runs true to size. It doesn't have ANY give. I have large thighs and vary between a size 12 and 14 dress. I was able to wear the size 12 because of the generous cut through the hips, but I wouldn't consider this a fit and flare dress. I think this dress would flatter almost all figures. The 14 wasn't available as a back-up size and I was nervous, but it ended up being a very flattering dress. It doesn't require much accessories. Beautiful color of red and very easy to look great for your special event!
