I wore this to a formal gala dinner on a work conference, and I got SO many compliments on it! Loved the nice deep pockets, the fit was great, and the length was perfect on me (I was worried it would be a little too long but it was great with heels). I did wear a strapless bra with it just to not worry about the straps, but the puff sleeves have a nice gummy elastic lining in them to help keep them in place on your shoulders. I definitely could have worn the large (it didn't seem too big) but the medium fit perfectly. I love Farm Rio's entire line, this is the second or third dress I've rented from them and every one has been amazing!

This dress was great for the event I attended (a fundraiser). It was comfortable and looked beautiful without being too fussy. Unfortunately reading the reviews, I ordered sizes too big - I'm usually between an 8/10 in dresses, so I ordered the 10 and the 12. The 10 fit okay except for being pretty large in the chest - which meant I showed more cleavage than intended. (I'm about a 36C/D so I usually don't have that problem.) It also felt like the straps were too long for the length, but that may be just me. The only other complaint I had was if you are sitting for a long time, the frayed pattern on the bottom starts to bother your legs unless you adjust, but that isn't the case for most formal events. Pockets were a huge plus! I would definitely rent again in a smaller size.

I rented this dress for a fundraising event - I got both the 8L and the 10L, and ended up wearing the 10L. Turns out the 8L was too long and pinched a little under the arms - it was about 5 inches longer than the 10L (not sure why). The 10L had a small tear in the back lace but was not noticeable once I had it on. I had no complaints about the dress whatsoever! It draped beautifully and was very comfortable, although I'd recommend it for events where you're standing more. I was seated most of the night and the tightness around the knee area made it a little uncomfortable after a few hours. Super pleased with the whole experience and I'll definitely be renting again!
