I had a black-tie wedding that my fiancé was a groomsmen in at a fancy hotel in Washington, D.C. so I wanted to look really nice and find a pretty, floor length gown with some pizazz. This was it. I read lots of reviews and decided to order a 6L and an 8L based off of other women who rented this dress with my same body type. I am a 34D-28-38 and 5'7". The 6L fit PERFECT! If you are an hourglass figure with a full chest and small waist you will fill out the dress lovely. People stopped me all night telling me they loved my dress, strangers and wedding guests. They called me "the woman in the purple dress". Even men stopped to compliment my gown. The back is gorgeous. It is classy, yet super fun and stylish. I was told that I had the best dress after the bride. If you are thinking about jewelry, I recommend wearing your hair up to show off the gown and I rented some simple, dangly earrings that were perfect (I wish I would have gotten a matching bracelet). Less is more with this dress. Also, I would recommend wearing heels. I wore 3 inch heels and the length was perfect. I had to make sure to carry my train because people kept stepping on it. The 8L fit me as well, but was a little loose and I prefer a snug fit. I'd order your size and one size up if you have a full chest/broad back. GET THIS DRESS! :)
