This is a gorgeous dress that's even more beautiful in person. The fabric has a really lovely weight/substance to it, so it's flattering (doesn't show every line or bump underneath when you move), and the skirt flares out in a lovely A-line without anything underneath (no itchy crinoline or awkwardly puffy tulle). It's hard to describe, but the skirt just seems to magically have volume. A strapless bra works underneath, but you can get away with not wearing one at all since there's a built-in half-bustier that zips in the back underneath the main zipper. I really loved wearing this and got several compliments at the engagement party to which I wore it.

If you're larger on the bottom, this is a great fit - the top is fitted and the skirt flares in a way that's flattering to those with curves. The scoop neck is a little low - it didn't seem overly revealing, but did require choosing a demi-cup bra over something fuller. Fabric had a nice weight to it without seeming heavy, and the black satin contrast band at the bottom of the skirt is a nice touch. Comfortable and classy!

This was a total knockout for my birthday - stunning without being too over the top, since I'm not usually a sequins girl. I'm an hourglass/pear shape and usually wear anywhere between a 10-14, but the size 10 fit me nicely with plenty of room on the bottom. Comfortable (with a little bit of itching from the sequins under my arms, which I expected) and easy to dance and move in, and long enough for a taller girl. Loved this and would happily rent again - got so many compliments!

I'm a 10-12 on top and a 12-14 on the bottom, so even with Spanx this was a little snug on me through the hips (nothing so obvious it couldn't be worn, but it rode up a bit as I moved around and I felt like I was adjusting a lot). That said, it's a very pretty dress - very classic and elegant.

This dress looked like it was made for me. Don't trust what it looks like on the hanger - the skirt looks like it's half the size it should be and cut on an angle, but when you put it on it hangs beautifully and completely justifies the cost. As previous comments have noted, the fabric is darker (and heavier) than on the model and the pattern is more subtle, but that's what I wanted and I thought it was gorgeous.

Relaxed fit through the hips for hourglass/pear shapes - this was lovely on and comfortable enough for a long day outside in the summer. Details are gorgeous and fabric is lightweight without being cheap.
