I wore this gorgeous frock to a symphony gala. It stood out among the crowd of black and grey dresses. On my just-taller-than petite frame, the dress came down to my ankles, making it a bit more of a gown than I initially intended. I don't wear strapless dresses very often, so the zipper choreography took a little while to figure out, but I got there on my own (zip up halfway, hook it, then finish zipping). The thick fabric kept me cozy in the chilly auditorium. I felt like I kept needing to pull it up, but it was a snug enough fit that I was never in any danger of giving the orchestra more than they'd bargained for. ;) I've just lost 25 pounds, and fitting into this dress was a fun celebration of that achievement!

I was 100% ready to wear my backup size 10 after reading the reviews - in fact, it was the first one I tried on. But I tried on the 8 and was pleasantly surprised with the fit. I didn't experience the tightness others did, though it did seem like the torso would occasionally try to bunch up. I LOVED the silhouette of this dress. The hem hit mid-thigh, just above the knee. For a Tuesday night party, I was going for "fancy and sophisticated but not trying too hard," and this outfit hit it out of the ballpark. It paired well with the statement necklace I wore with it. This was my first experience with RtR, and everything worked out beautifully.
