Beautiful, beautiful dress, and I felt beautiful wearing it! I chose it for a college alumni party, and it perfectly toed the line between modest and edgy. I wore my backup 8 for comfort, but the dress was stretchy enough that I probably could have made the 6 work. Though it's meant to fit tightly, the bubbly waffle fabric is super-forgiving and does a great job of keeping things looking smooth. (And in case anyone is wondering about the placement of that cutout, a normal bra doesn't work but a sticky one does.)

Wore this for an Art Deco-themed party and the style was absolutely perfect. It's a showstopping dress, I felt gorgeous in it, and complete strangers were stopping me to ask about it all night. Runs very small, though... I usually wear a S and didn't even attempt to squeeze into anything other than my backup M when the dresses arrived! The fabric is super-thick and stretchy so no Spanx necessary. It's short and it did ride up a lot while dancing (and walking... and sitting...) though, so be warned that occasional adjustments/hem-yanking will be necessary.

Gorgeous dress that fit like it was made for me, and the fabric was thick enough that I didn't need a bra or shapewear. (The mythical Herve Leger "Spanx Effect" is no joke!) I agree with the other reviewers about the straps, though -- WAY too long and had to be pinned back.
