So Incredibly Small

Nice thick material that's forgiving, even without spanx, and not at all hot. Got so many compliments on this dress for a cruise formal night. Paired perfectly with a Star Wars Planetary Orbital necklace, replete with a Death Star. Yes, for real!

Typical DVF - runs waaaayyyy small. I usually wear a 4-6, but for whatever reason, I'm consistently a 10 in DVF. This worked perfectly for office to dinner to the ballet. Arrived in brand new condition with tags still attached.

Pic really doesn't do it justice
The fabric is amazing in every way - unique print and high quality weaving - almost tapestry-like. I'm 5'4" inches and it is still very short on me. To the point where if I dropped something I would def not bend down to pick it up! With tights it was daytime-to-date appropriate though, and I got SO many compliments. Note that it does restrict arm movement somewhat, so reaching up creates the same situation as bending over - you'll flash everyone in the near vicinity. Overall love it and will rent again.

This dress is AMAZING!!! The upper sleeves are a little tight so size up if you need to have a little more room there. It won't detract because the fabric drapes fantastically.

Went from dancing in the ballet to a work party. Bravo, RTR, you've done it again!
I dance in the nutcracker every year, and this year my *real job* Christmas party was just hours after a matinee performance. I whisked off my costume, peeled off my false lashes, threw on this Carmen Marc Valvo gown, added a couple alstromera and pine spriggs to my hair, and off I went! I fell in love with this gown as soon as I saw it on the RTR site, and knew I had to have it. It arrived in perfect time and perfect condition, and everyone that sees me in my usual work environment (as a technical writer) was completely stunned at the transformation. Bravo, RTR! You've made me look like a million bucks again and again!

THIS gown carred me through an emotional speech with grace, dignity, and class!
I was asked to give an address about Violence Against Women - a topic deeply important to me - at a DC area "Inspiring Women" benefit, and this dress was the perfect choice. Not only did I speak with confidence in front of hundreds of prominent Washingtonians, the fundraiser was a huge success, raising over $318,000 to help women, men, and families in need in the DC area gain access to mental health counseling. While the topic wasn't easy to address, I felt confident, secure, and strong, partly due to the fact that I was wearing something beautiful and memorable. Thanks RTR - I learned that looking good = feeling good, and hopefully helped some deserving people along the way!

Great backup!
I ordered this as a backup to the dream gown I really wanted, because RTR only had one size available (of the dream gown.) This was stunning on, and I looked like a million bucks in it, but I was thrilled to find that the favorite gown fit perfectly. I gave the keynote address at a gala in the Washington DC area, and was so grateful to know about RTR! I'll definitely keep coming back for more!
